**Sadie and Jackie's pov**
They both decided at 4am it would be best to sleep as they would need to be in top form to present the case to the police. Sadie went first and slept till 11am and while she was asleep Jackie payed the doll a visit wearing gloves so she didn't leave DNA behind and become a suspect. She discovered upon opening the box she hadn't seen a doll like this before and she would know as her mother had been a collector. She wondered if the doll was made to look like the child as there was no trademark. This was also the first case where a potdoll was involved that she had been called into but she was surprised the police hadn't contacted her already.
When Sadie came downstairs in a suit and freshly showered it was Jackie's turn to sleep, which she did until 6pm. She showered and changed into a suit she had brought with her then they had their dinner and left with all the evidence and the doll and headed to the police station.
Once they had reached the station Jackie asked to see Detective Jesse Williams (the detective in charge of the case), signed in as visitors and waited a half hour. She finally came out bringing her partner Detective James Lewis and led them to an interrogation room in order to record the presentation. The chief stood outside looking in from the outside through the two-way windows (can see in but from the inside it looks like a mirror) to oversee the presentation and see if it is worth following up.
Detective Jesse asked Sadie to begin as she was the one who started investigating and heard her side and then Jackie's side and findings. They then looked at the evidence and realized it linked with other murders when Emma's and Adrian's cases were compared and put into context with the theory they had. They all shared the lack of evidence apart from the murder weapon some knife, some suffocation. They realized this had been going on for a year and when marked on a map, they went in a trail leading in a circle. They also revealed they were about to call Jackie but she turned up.
They viewed all the cases again once they realized they were connected. There was Emily Holmes aged 10 who was suffocated; Katie Harris 9 who was killed using a knife, Keira Lewis 13 (not related to the detective) was suffocated; Kayleigh Dennis 15 killed using a knife; Adrian Smith 24 suffocated and Emma Cole 22 killed using a knife.
They then noticed the doll or dolls must have been connected because of Emma and Adrian having the doll and decided to call the victim's families again as they may have found a new link in the case.
**Police pov**
The Harris family was the first to be called, as Katie had been the first victim. They were invited to an interrogation room as they are the only rooms with tape recordings and were asked some questions relating to the case again to go over it and jog memories and then moved on to questions about a doll if there was one connected. The police found it had been her 9th birthday two weeks before her murder and she had a party and received money from her aunts and grandparents, and went on a shopping spree and a meal. She had seen a doll in a window that was way over the price range at £1000, a collector's item for sure.
It was quite cute apart from the facial expression; it looked a little shocked or almost angry but Katie had loved it. She was pale with rosy cheeks, pink lips and brown eyes, with dark brown curly hair with red ribbons accompanied with a white frilly dress with a red belt, white tights and red shoes. Its label read Cindy.
After Katie had died they didn't want the doll and gave it the shop they got it from because no one else wanted it. They didn't get a refund they just gave them it back. The police officers took notes, called an officer outside, gave him the name of the shop and told him to look into it and returned to their seat. The officers let them go and they were approached by another officer saying the shop had been burned down, and the doll had been taken with the owners. The police had seen it as arson but the owners weren't suspects but now they may be as the doll may be connected.
