**Emma's pov**
When she finally woke up it was 10am. She sat up and rubbed her eyes, stretched and yawned and looked around her room then she saw the bowl, the water and the painkillers. She mentally thanked Adrian and then Liz who had given her the go-ahead; if it wasn't for her she would be stumbling down the stairs clutching her head by now or still outside the house or maybe on Liz' house. She took the painkillers, and then smelt pancakes as she was wondering whether to go back to sleep, she thought he had gone last night when she had fallen asleep. She got out of bed, took off her clothes apart from her underwear and slipped on her pink dressing-gown and matching slippers and headed downstairs.
**Adrian's pov**
As Emma sat down at the breakfast bar in the kitchen, he gave her a cup of coffee; milky with three sugars (he had watched her order it at the café next to the hospital he hadn't followed her he happened to be in the queue) as well as three pancakes stacked one on top of the other with strawberries and whipped cream. She smiled a happy smile as it was a breakfast her mum used to make and she had told him it was her favourite when she was sad, then the smile turned a little sad at the memory and they began to eat together. Halfway through breakfast they began discussing the service, the wake, getting Liz home and then thanking him for the support, getting her home and staying the night. Once she finished she told him she was getting a shower and he washed the dishes left a note saying he had to go as he had work and left, locking the door behind him and posting the key through the door.
Once he arrived home he put the doll on the kitchen table as there wasn't anywhere else to put it. His home had the necessities and a few luxuries but it was mostly a bachelor pad. He then went upstairs, showered, shaved and went to work on his 1pm to 3am shift. It was harsh but good money so he could afford some days off if Emma needed him to or he could spoil her or maybe both.
