As soon as Emma awoke she called her boss to tell him the news. He offered his apologies and promised to give her the weeks pay in advance to show how much he cared. It also looked good to other employers and employees so he could be more successful and keep the staff motivated.
As Emma got her clothes from the previous night from the floor and put them on she didnt care what she looked like, she just wanted to know how her mother was. She was so worried that she ran outside and her neighbor told her she forgot to lock her door.
Once she locked the door Emma rang Liz to tell her about her mother. Liz soon arrived at Emma's and picked her up, both for support because she knew what it was like to possibly lose your only parent and as Emma was like a sister to her she felt she had to be there.
