**Emma's point of view**
She felt like shit for forgetting about her mother and it was Liz who had finally asked. She had to apologize to her best friend because she wasn't usually like this.
On the way to her mother's room she apologized to Liz who accepted her apology and proceeded to get the gossip then left the room to get drinks and a sandwich since she hadn't eaten yet.
