Ode to Sleep

Tyler:

Josh and I managed to survive church, after listening to the preacher rant on and on about how 'God loves everyone aside from those who commit sins,' and a lot of other stuff.

We ran over to Laura, Josh's mom, and I asked, 'Can Josh come over today?' 'As long as it's okay with your mom, it's okay with me, actually, I'll send Ashley over to play with Zack,' she says.

Josh and I glance at each other excitedly. We run over to Mom, and ask her if Josh can come over. She says yes and her and Laura talk for a second and then I hop in my car and Josh hops in his. We drive home and I immediately grab Josh and pull him to the tv room so we can play Mario Kart. As I boot up the N64 we talk about his life in Toledo.

'What did you do? Did you have Daycare? Was there church? Were there bananas?' I ask. 'Woah, Ty, slow down. I went to daycare during the week and then stayed home on the weekend. We went to church every Sunday but it was even more boring because I didn't have you to look at when it got really boring. And yes, we had bananas but I hate them so I didn't eat them,' he explains. 'Y-you hate bananas too?' I ask excitedly. 'Yeah, they're so gross and squishy and they taste so bad.' he says. 'Josh I think you may be my bestfriend.'
