Chapter five

Lily POV

I gasped when I felt his lips on mine but quickly got into it. My blood began to pound through my veins as his strong arms wrapped themselves around my waist. He pulled me to him and I was suddenly very conscious of the fact that I was standing in just my bra and track pants while he was standing shirtless with just jeans.

I let my fingers trace over his face and down his body as his hands gripped my waist tightly.

As I touched him, I felt nothing. I felt no feelings, no memories, no nothing. I didn't like it. I wanted to know what he was feeling.

"Let me in..." I whispered against his lips and he shook his head. "Please, let me in." I whispered, kissing down his jaw and up to his ear, "I need to know you're feeling something. Please." I breathed and he moaned while I nibbled on his ear lob.

All of sudden, a glow of energy so bright and powerful flowed through my finger tips and I gasped in shock.

So many emotions, so many feelings but no memories. I pulled back and looked at him, not understand how one man... could feel so many things at once yet have no memories of anything.

"It's because I'm confused," he answered my silent question, "it's because I don't know these feelings I have for you." He pulled my towards him and placed his forehead on me.

"It's because for the first time in my life, Lily you have made me feel something other than loneliness. You've given me hope that I might be able to be happy. I know that's a big declaration but you wanted to know how I felt." He murmured and kissed me sweetly.

I was gobsmacked, completely gobsmacked. That was all I needed to hear.

I grabbed his face and kissed him more harshly, showing him rather than telling him how I felt.

If we were so wrong for each other, why did it feel so right?

William POV

"Who says we are wrong for each other?" I mumbled after a while and Lily stirred a little. She was lying on my chest, tracing every single inch of my torso. Her fingers were heavenly and I could lie here forever.

"Did I say that out loud?" She muttered against my skin. She sounded so tired, so drained but I guess who could blame her.

"You thought out loud." I began playing with her hair and she shivered lightly.

"Well think about it," she rolled onto me and sat on my chest, "we were both born for the purpose of a war we had no real part in. You were made to protect Earth and I was born to destroy it. We are destined to fight each other-"

"And we did," I interrupted marvelling at her beauty, "we fought and so now it should be settled and done."

"We are meant to fight to kill, not fight then..." She trailed off and blood quickly rushed to her pale face. I smiled and sat up, pulling her to my chest. She felt right here, she felt like this was where she was meant to be.

"Let's not worry okay?" I suggested and she sighed before nodding. "We should probably clean up right?" I looked around and she laughed.

After an hour or so, we had managed clean, wash and dry all the furniture that was caught in our fight. We were now sitting in the dining room drinking coffee. We end up playing twenty questions again, except we didn't stop at twenty, we just kept going.

"What are your abilities?" I asked curiously and Lily smiled, grabbed a blank notebook and began naming them off as she wrote her answer. Apparently, for someone who is the antichrist, her memory was so bad she had to write a lot of things down.
