Chapter ten

Lily POV

He did what... my body froze and my mind started going a million miles an hour. I couldn't believe it. My dad, Lucifer, Satan... is giving up his quest to destroy Earth for me.

I smiled down at the ground, my smile almost hurting my cheeks. I contain my happiness as I turn to a shock looking Courtney, Ryan and William I can't help but laugh and run towards William and throw myself at him.

He catches me with ease although I do take him by surprise. "Will.. do you know what this means?" I ask breathlessly and he just gives me a blank shock. "Dad's giving us a chance. We have a chance to raise the babies, to actually start a life together." I cupped his face in my hands, caressing his checks. "We have a chance to make memories and be a family."

I watched William's face, watching this information sink in and his eyes lit up like a toddlers on Christmas morning.

I heard Courtney start to giggle which turned into that small but gradually getting louder hysterical laugh. I hopped down from William and ran to her, throwing my arms around her. She put her face in my hair and kissed my head numerous times.

Ryan threw his arms around Courtney, laughing as well and for the first time an unknown feeling came through me. It took me a moment to figure it out what I was feeling. It was warm and it brought tears to my eyes.

It was hope.

I turned to William, tears pouring down my cheeks and he was just smiling. Smiling like everything was going to be okay. And for the first time in my whole life, it was going to be alright.

Courtney was practically bouncing off the walls, "We should have cake."

"Cake? Really?" Ryan asked laughing and I just shook my head.

"Yes, cake. Something sweet to meet the moment." She acted like what she just said made any sense and for a moment I just didn't care.

Walking over to William, I reached up to him and just kissed him.

As soon as our lips touched, his mind opened and all his hopes and dreams flowed through my mind, making me gasp before concentrating on all the images.

Images of us in this house, but somewhere else. In the mountains or the country I'm not sure where. There is a beautiful front garden with Courtney bent over working happily as she does when she is in her element. I see a small little boy giggling who looks a lot like Ryan and Courtney, playing with the leaves. Ryan is watching over him carefully, smiling carefree.

Then there they are. Our precious little babies, just like they were pictured in my dreams. The girl with my raven hair but her fathers light blue eyes but is still is as pale as me. Her body is tiny and she smiles at her brother.

I pulled away but I never stop the contact as I pressed my forehead to his. "This is the beginning of the rest of our lives." I murmured and he made a sound of approval, kissing my forehead.

We stood there for a long time just absorbing the moment. In my belly, I could feel the twins dancing feeling happy like us. I smiled, thinking I was actually going to get my happy ending. The thought sent shivers down my spine and blossoming hope into me.

Archangel Michael POV

"This meeting will come to order." I spoke loud and clear, my voice echoing throughout the Wall of Mirrors.

This room was our little war room where all the meetings are had and it's like a board room but on the walls there are all the angels names were on the wall. It was completely silver and on the floor it is filled with the illusion of the sky. On the roof there is mirrors all across the surface with a beautiful chandler.
