Chapter fourteen

Lily's POV

As we marched in the Heavens, I felt nothing.

All that was running through my head was destruction, pain, death and bloodlust. I could almost taste them and it made me shiver with delight to think I was only a couple of metres away from my very own killing party spree.

Now from what I could tell from the maps of Heaven, you had to first past through the Gates of Destiny. At these gates, you are evaluated and either booted out of Heaven or let through to a wonderful paradise. I snorted at the word paradise as I moved my way through the line.

For eight o'clock at night, the line for evaluation was tiny. There was only two or three people in front of me and the plan was once they got to me, I would unleash the creatures of the night and the fun would begin.

"Stop rubbing your eyes!" Hissed Courtney and I snapped at her, glaring her into a submission state. Because my eyes had turned black, I had to wear contacts in my eyes but as soon as they saw the crystal hanging they would know who I am.

"I can't help it." I snapped back and she visibly flinched back. I smirked and I felt Ryan's eyes on me but I turned my back before I snapped his neck. All I felt now a days was anger and rage. Blinding rage sometimes which was scary but I didn't care really. In fact it was nice, kept me warm at night.

"I'm sorry miss, but we aren't letting anyone else in tonight." A angel spoke, her voice so angelic it made me want to throw up. Her words caught on and my contacts burned away with my restraint. Courtney quickly grabbed my hand and whispered, 'I'll take care of it' before rushing to the angel who looked annoyed.

"I'm sorry for asking but why can't we go in now?" She asked in the sweetest voice she could manage and I almost gagged at it.

"Oh it's because of a huge wedding ceremony between two high ranking people." She stated it as if it were obvious.

"And who's wedding is it?" Courtney asked and the angel sighed heavily, rolling her eyes up at Courtney.

"William, the Protector of the Earth and some Stacy chick. They call her the Women in Red." Just the mention of those two was enough to set me off like a firework on New Years Eve.

I let my wings expand and before the angel could blink, my knife was already deep into her chest, her eyes closing softly. But before she died, I let her fingers slip on the entrance button that let the Gates of Destiny open.

"Thanks you little brat." I sneered before letting her body slump to the ground. I took the time to quickly take out the remainder of the contacts and finally I could see properly without irritation.

Flying up high in the sky, I used a war cry horn that could only be heard by the creatures of the night and suddenly the white pearly gates were suddenly dirty with the demons all clinging onto them like it was crack.

"My friends, tonight the Heavens will run red with the blood and the streets will be filled with fear and chaos!" I cried out and they all roared back at me, "But remember the Archangels, the women in red and the Protector of the Earth are mine. Now follow me!" I cried and I flew forward, the creatures following me like a huge dark cloud and sea. The nightmares filled the sky turning it black and deadly while the demons, warriors and others ran wild in the empty streets tearing it apart.

Dropping down to ground level, I looked for Courtney and Ryan. "Find out where the wedding is begin held and report back to me." I commanded and they nodded, running off.

I had the pleasure of watching my beautiful creatures, run wild and cause destruction among the buildings and houses of the angels but it wasn't as fun as terrorising the neighbours.
