Chapter 5: Picking Sides

Ev went immediately to Jakob's room where he was training.
"

Jakob we need to talk" said Ev
"What is it"?
"We need to get Matthew's group out of here" said Ev
"Why"? Asked Jakob
"They're going to take everything from us and if we don't cooperate then we will be killed " said Ev
"Where's your proof "? Asked Jakob
"Matthew threatened this to me"! Yelled Ev
"How can you prove that "?
Ev hit his head against the door.
"Fine I'll go do it myself"
It had become late, Ev had gotten Bob and Ted to side with him. He went back to his room and laid down on his bed. He was about to doze off but felt something take control of him. He then got up and went down to the newcomers room. He was about to open it and start murdering them all but refrained and walked away. As he was walking away he felt the dark again and went back over to the door but once again he stopped himself. He did this for hours and hours, just pacing around their door. Eventually he was too tired and fell asleep. Adam had snuck off and went to talk to Gen for a little while.
"Hey how are you doing..."? Asked Adam
"Okay...what about you..."? Answered Gen
"I guess I'm okay..." said Adam
Gen nodded a bit.
"Do you need anything..."? Asked Adam
Gen shrugged
"We'll be out of here soon enough " said Adam
"Ev's becoming more open to me and you being free" said Adam
Gen nodded again.
"Alright I'll see you tomorrow " said Adam
He then got up and left.
Ev eventually woke up. He sat up and looked around and saw that he was laying in the hall. He got up and went to his room. He went inside and started inspecting the knives. He then noticed that something wasn't right. Ev then noticed that the picture of the Bane of Kings was missing. Ev shot up and went to find Matthew.
Jakob walked down to the gym to work out. As he walked by he saw Jaden.
"Hi Jaden "
Jaden nodded and continued down the hall. Jakob went into the gym and saw Ted training.
"Mind if I join you" ? Asked Jakob
"Go ahead" said Ted
The two then practiced together for a while.
Adam had been approached by Matthew early in the morning. He said he needed to speak with him in the session room. Adam sat down across from him nervously.
"So Adam I hear that you want to be free" said Matthew
Adam nodded
"Let's say you help me and I make you a free man" said Matthew
"What..."? Asked Adam
"Soon I'll be in power and if you help me you'll be spared and a free man" said Matthew
"Who is helping"? Asked Adam
"I can't say who is but I'll tell you that Ev, Bob, Ted and Jakob won't help" said Matthew
"No" said Adam
