Chapter 14: Im Coming for You

Jim's body was never found. Probably destroyed by the exploding grenades. Ted seemed to be the one hurt by his death the most. That half of the Y was sealed off due to so many sickos breaches. Jim had a proper funeral. After a couple of days Ev was able to be up again. Ev, Adam and Jakob planned the attack on the air force base. They were gonna go and storm in. They were going to finish this. The others spent the whole day preparing for the coming attack. Ev seemed more bloodthirsty than ever Jim's death. He really wanted the Bane of Kings. Adam and Jakob knew that when they got there Ev was going to do nothing but try to kill Matthew. So they focused on Andy.
Ev put down the knife of Vengeance. He had spent the last hour sharpening it. The memories it held brought him almost to tears. Those thoughts were very quickly shut out. He loaded the revolver. That brought back some memories too. He was ready. Jakob had spent his time sharpening his axe and his plan. Adam said his goodbyes to Gen and loaded up his rifle. Everyone except Gen met outside at the front. Jaden was to drive the ATV in at the front with Ev on the back. Adam and the others would bring up the rear with the car.
"Everyone know what they're doing"? Asked Jakob
Everyone nodded.
Jaden started up the ATV and as it started to drive away Ev jumped onto the back. Adam started the car and they were off. There was some distance between the ATV and the car. The went down the road towards the air force base. The tree line came into view. They went over the train tracks that was near the air force base. The front entrance of the base was near. As the started to head for it the sound of a sniper rifle firing echoed out. Jaden stopped the ATV with a skid. Ev flew off the back down onto the ground in the army man crawl. Adam stopped the car behind them. Ev began crawling towards a nearby hill. Adam and the others got out and took cover. Everyone scanned any nearby hills for whoever was shooting at them. More shots came.
"One...two...three..." counted Andy
"Four...five...I don't see six..." he said to himself. He then noticed Ev crawling up the side of the hill.
"Shoot" said Andy as he got up and ran down the other side of the hill. Ev got up.
"Scared him" he told the others
They all nodded then moved into the base.
"Me, Jaden and Bob will go around back" said Ev
"The rest of us will hit them from the front" said Jakob
Ev and the other two started their walk to the back of the base building. The building was on top of a very large hill. Adam got into the car and started up the hill. Jakob started to drive the ATV behind them with Ted on the back. As they drove they heard something snap like a rope. Ted looked up and saw large wooden spears falling at him. He raised his shield as fast as he could. Two missed, one hit a tire and the last one went into Ted's shield. It almost ended up impaling him. This stopped the ATV from continuing on. Adam pushed forward with the car. Another sound of a rope snapping was heard. Two massive logs came flying through the trees and hit the car. Adam was thrown into the passenger seat by the force. The car was almost in two pieces now. Adam quickly climbed out of the car and got together with the others. Ev, Bob and Jaden heard the ruckus from the other side of the building but they pressed on. Jakob and Ted led the frontal assault with Adam in the back. Jakob used his axe and his might to smash down the door to the building. When they were inside the saw Andy and Matthew standing with weapons at the ready. Andy shot off a shot gun at them. He also had something else on his back but they couldn't see what it was.
Ev heard the gunshots and hurried up the hill.
"I'm coming for you Matthew " said Ev
