Brain Dead 2- The Unknown

Chapter 8: Camping Trip

Ev finished checking his survival bag and his other gear. They had just gotten a confession out of Jaden about where Matthew was. He said that Matthew was going to be hiding out at the air force base. Ev decided that he was going to go in and try to get Bob out of there. Jakob, Ted and Jim were going to be clearing out sickos. Adam and Gen were going to be watching over Jaden. Ev went over to where he left the ATV and got on. He started the vehicle and then sped off towards the air force base. Jakob and Ted went over to some of the spike pits. They saw a couple of sickos in there. Ted shot all of them and then they went to another one. Jim walked around with Jaden's bat smashing sicko heads. After about an hour they had cleared out the front parking lot. After the rest of the sickos had been disposed of they then started to fix the walls that had been knocked down. After the hour of that they all went back into the Y.
Ev came around the corner and went over the train tracks with the ATV. He went past some dead sickos lying in the ditch nearby. He then caught sight of the air force base in the distance. He got off the ATV and hid it behind a tree. The trees seemed to have kept the air nice smelling. He started his decent into the forest and into the air force base. He came across a couple of sickos but they were hanging by their feet in trees. Ev looked at them confused then moved on. He walked for a bit longer then stopped and took a quick break. He noticed it started to get darker and the sun was setting. He needed to find Bob soon and quickly. He walked towards the entrance to the base. He saw a cross and saw something tied to it. At first he thought it was just another sicko but then he noticed it was Bob. He ran over to see if he was alive. He quickly cut him down from his post. Nailed in his arm was a note. It read
'Leave now'
He shook Bob trying to wake him. He eventually came to. Ev helped him up and gave him some water. He told Bob were he hid the ATV and told him to go back to the Y. Ev told him that he was going to stay and spy on Matthew. Bob nodded then went off to the ATV. Ev noticed how dark it was now and went off to find a place to set up camp. At this point it was full on night. He walked into a grove of trees by a road. He leaned against a tree to scope out the grove. He took another step and stopped as he heard something running through leaves. He looked down and saw a rope pop up around his foot.
"Shoot" said Ev before he was flung into the tree.
All Ev could hear was the clinking of knives falling onto the ground. He saw most of his knives laying on the ground around him. He felt his sanity start to fade away. He reached up for the secret flap in his shoe. In it was bootcut, a very small knife. He pulled it out and cut the rope. He fell onto his pile of knives. He felt a couple of them poke him. He started to get up when he heard another movement. He turned and saw Ben walk into the grove.
"So what do we have he-" started Ben but couldn't finish because Ev ran at him full speed and tackled him. Ev got up and looked at Ben on the ground. He started to reach for his axe but Ev stomped on his arm, probably breaking it. Ben opened his mouth to yell for help but then Ev stomped on that too. Ben winced in pain. Ev looked at him for a bit longer and then pulled him up. Before Ben could do anything Ev hit him the butt of the revolver. Ben was knocked unconscious. Ev grinned. They now had a hostage.
