Hours later ...

Darter's POV

I woke up and saw August laying at the bottom of the bed at my feet like a baby. I looked to my left and saw my mom sleep. I smiled at the both of them.

"A- August?" I said weakly. He couldn't hear me though. So I kicked him right in his back. he jumped up to surprised and looked my direction. A huge smile appeared on his face when he saw that I was woke.

"Dang baby, you okay. I missed you." he said then got up and kissed my forehead.

"Get my mom up." I said. She was the main person I wanted to talk to.

"Mom, you up?" I asked when I saw her moving around in the chair.

"Oh my god baby, thank god your okay. Press the button to call your nurse." my mom said as she walked over to me smiling. She gave me a bear hug and a warm kiss.

"Im glad everything went perfect." August said.

"I agree!"

"So do I you guys. where's everyone else?" I asked. seeing my best friend Aaliyah wouldn't make everything wonderful plus seeing the guys.

"I told them they could go but Alvae and your dad stayed. I'll go get them." August said then walked out the room. Shortly after he came back with my dad and Alvae.

My dad ran straight into me giving me kisses all over the face. how embarrassing!

"Okay dad. I get it." I said pushing his face away from mine to catch a lil air.

"I'm just damn excited that's all. god was with you. and who ever did this better hope The Lord be with they ass too when I come for em."

"And the church say amen." Alvae said out of no where causing us all to laugh.

But when I laughed, I caught this headache like never before like my brain was just done with!

Then my nurse walked in with water and a pill for me to take. I took the pill then drunk the water fast! Woah!

"You okay sweetie. I'm Miss Lana by the way. I'll be your nurse for your stay here." she said all sweetly.

"I'm alright and nice to meet you." I said laying down holding my head. my dad came over and held my hand. August just sat their giving my dad a look while my dad gave him one back. what's going on?

"You two okay?" I asked so confused. they were giving each other the eyes.

"Actually I'm not. your dad thinks this is my fault. Tell her how you think I'm the cause of this."

"You damn right I think your the cause of this. Dartez never been in any situation like this until she met your thug ass. Darty what were you thinking choosing this nothing ass nigga!" my dad said.

"Wait Donte, you cool it" my mom said trying to keep the peace. but you know August, he had to have the last word.

"ion give a fuck who you be fool, you can still get done. sure you want a problem?" August said getting out the chair like he's ready to fight my dad or something.

"Empty wagons make a lot of noise. I'll hurt you lil dude so hang it up foolie." my dad said also getting up. but mom jumped in between the two of them.

"you two need to STOP. We are here for Darty. you need to focus on whooping whoever did this, not each other! now shake this off and leave it behind. mom yelled.

My dad didn't say a word. he just took a seat. August just kept the same mug he had before.

How will I deal with this? My dad and boyfriend not getting alone? I don't wanna be the one getting in between mess like this. they were the last two people I though would not get along.

"I can't believe you guys are acting like this. Y'all can't be serious. Ya know what, the both of you just go." I said as a tear rolled down but I quickly wiped it from my face.

The both of the walked out the room. they didn't say a word because they knew I was upset with them. but I'm more sad than mad. This will be very depressing and overwhelming for me to deal with.
