16.. "Reunited"

Later that day....

Deedy's POV

I was still upset about my dad lying to me about who my real mother was. He just came out with it like it was nothing! I dont know if i can even look at that man!

"You okay over there, Deedy?" my dad asked from across the dinner table.

"You care?" i asked.

"Excuse me? Its something you wanna say to me?" he asked putting his fork down. He aint scaring nobody!

Dartez's phone started ringing. She cleared her thoat and excused herself from the table.

Well damn, this is just fucking great! Im left alone with him when i clearly dont wanna breathe the same air as him!!

"Whats up?" dad asked as i played with my fork in my spaghetti.

"I hate to be lied to." i said looking into his eyes then putting my head back down.

He signed. "I understand but i dont think you do. This was for the best. You were young. I wanted to tell you once you were reunited with Darty."

"But what if we wouldnt have seen her again?! What were you gonna do then! Just keep it behind my back, huh? I dont think you know how i feel about this!" i said as i walked away from the table and stormed up to my room.

"Deedy!!" Darty yelled as i walked past her. Im just not in the mood rightnow ....

I went into my room and plugged in my earphones. Shortly after Darty came into the room and sat on the edge of the bed. I paused my music and looked up at her.

"Whats the matter with you?" she asked calmly.

"Dad is whats wrong with me. He lied to us and your acting like your okay with it!" i yelled.

"Whats done, is done! Look at the bright side, you get to have a mother again. Plus shes no trick dad picked up, its OUR mother! Be happy because things could be totally worst!" she said.

I signed. I knew she was right. At least i have a chance to meet my mom for the first time.

"You right Darty. I love you sis, and im glad to have you back." i said as i hugged her.

"I love you too boo. Now, i gotta go." she said grabbing her wallet and phone off the dresser.

"Where you going? Your not staying here?" i asked confused.

"I live with... well i live with my bestfriend, Aaliyah but im always staying over at August's place..."

"Which is....??" i asked waiting on her to give me some more

"My boyfriend.."

"Does dad know??" i asked.

"NO so keep your voice down and your mouth closed. I told him that i live with my friend and her mom which i do but that wasnt the whole truth."

"When will i meet him then?" i asked. I bet this guy is a nerd. Darty was the type to date lame guys  I remember when we were little, her boyfriend wore huge glasses and had ugly braces.

"You'll meet him soon. You and dad but ill be over here tomorrow around 3 or 4. Dad has a surprise for us."

"Okay boo. See ya." i said laying down and covering myself with the covers.

"See ya." she said then turned off the light and walked out.

I really wanted her to spend the night. I havent seen her in forever. Being with my sister felt great.
