I've been on the flight from Milwaukee to L.A. for two hours out of the four hours and fifteen minutes.
It's a pretty empty flight, some chairs remaining open behind me and in front of me.
Sadly, the ones beside me are taken.
I'm in the window seat and it looks like two teenage boys are sitting next to me.
I'm not positive, though, I'm too shy to look up and make eye contact.
My stomach starts to flip as the airplane starts to shake.
"Passengers we're experiencing some turbulence," I can barely make out the pilot's words over the speaker.
"No shit," I breathe to myself, trying to keep my stomach in check.
I hear a chuckle next to me but I don't look over, focusing on the pocket filled with cheesy magazines in front of me.
"We're going through a storm right now so it may be like this for a while."
I mentally groan at his words, leaning over to try to level my stomach.
"Are you alright?" A male voice asks from next to me.
"I'll be fine," I somehow get out.
"Here's a paper bag, if you need it," a pale hand reaches out to offer me the bag.
I nod in thanks, holding it open just in time to throw up into the bag.
I hear a voice from the other side of the nice boy go "ohhh" and I mentally roll my eyes.
I can't help throwing up.
A hand comfortingly rubs my back, which I would usually be so uncomfortable with but right now it's helping my stomach settle down.
"Are you feeling better?" The boy next to me asks.
"I guess," I sit up, folding the bag.
I set it down at my feet, holding it tightly between them as I pull my hair back into a ponytail.
A hand reaches out, offering a piece of gum.
I turn to look at the person seeing, indeed, a teenage guy beside me.
He smiles at me and I give a gracious smile back, taking the piece of gum from him.
I freeze, realizing who I just took gum from.
Jack Johnson.
I love Jack and Jack!
I saw them in concert and have all of their songs downloaded onto my phone.
I even bought a T-shirt, too.
"You alright?" Jack laughs.
"Y-Yeah," I stammer.
"Are you a fan?" He asks.
"Yeah. I just don't want to freak you out," I let out a nervous laugh.
"Well you threw up in front of us so how much more could you freak us out," Jack Gilinsky joins in the conversation.
I blush as they laugh.
Johnson and I continue our conversation as Gilinsky decides to take a nap.
We exchange numbers and decide to meet up sometime in L.A.
