"Daddy's home," I exclaim happily to my kids.
My oldest daughter, Adeline cheers, hopping up on the window seat to look out the window.
Clare looks around, not old enough to fully understand those words.
"Come on kids, let's go see daddy," I balance my son, Graham, on my hip, grabbing Clare's hand and leading her out the front door.
"Hey," Jack laughs as the girls jump on him, picking Clare up into his arms and wrapping an arm around me in a half hug as I approach him.
"Hey babe, how was work?" I ask as he kisses my lips.
"Well about that, I kinda lied to you," he sets Clare down, pulling Graham out of my arms and into his.
He kisses the baby's forehead before pushing it into his shoulder, swaying back and forth in an attempt to get him to fall asleep.
"What?" I raise my eyebrows at my husband.
"Instead, I went and got you a new car!" He thrusts his arm out to show off the car.
I turn towards it, seeing my dream car. "A 2016 Honda Pilot! Oh my God, Jack!"
I squeal, twirling around in circles.
"Daddy got mommy her dream car, Addie!" I pick the little girl up into my arms, twirling around.
She giggles and I hear Jack laugh in the background.
I set Adeline down, running into Jack's arms. "Oh my God I love you so so much."
I place kisses all over his face, ending with a sloppy kiss on his lips.
"Maybe you can make it up to me tonight," he smirks suggestively, wrapping an arm around my waist.
"Maybe," I grin back.
"It seats eight. We can make another."
"Nice try, Gilinsky," I laugh, pulling away and opening the driver's door.
It dings at me and I'm practically drooling at the new car smell.
"Should we put your car seats in?" I hear Jack ask the girls behind me.
"It even has leather seats," I whisper to myself, mesmerized by how amazing this car is.
"Do you like the color?" Jack asks after we put all of the kids in their seatbelts in the car.
"It's my favorite," I sigh dreamily, leaning into him.
The fresh silver paint on the car shines in the sunlight.
"Well I'm glad you like it. Because it's going to take us a while to pay it off," he laughs, wrapping an arm around my shoulders and kissing my temple.
"How much?" I hesitantly ask.
"36, 000."
"Holy shit," my eyes bulge.
"But if it makes you happy it's worth it." I grin up at Jack at his words.
I start to open the driver's door. "We're definitely not going to have another kid if we have $36, 000 to pay off."
