"Why can't you just trust me?" I screech, anger running through my body as I lean forward, throwing my hand out in agitation.

"I do!" Jack hollers back, throwing the damn magazine that started this whole issue onto the coffee table.

"Then why don't you believe me when I tell you that he's just a friend?!"

"Because his arm is around you!"

"Yeah, in protection in case I flew out of the damn roller-coaster," I run my hands through my hair out of stress and tilt my head back. "You know you're absolutely unbelievable sometimes?"

"And it's pretty unbelievable that he's just doing this out of protection," my boyfriend of four months who I really don't care for right now replies coldly.

"Well if you think our friendship is so unbelievable," my eyes narrow at him and he gives me a daring look. "Then I believe the same thing about this relationship."

I stalk towards the door, grabbing my keys off of the table in Jack's entrance area and raise my hand to the doorknob.

"Don't go."

I freeze at my boyfriend's words and reply in a daring tone, without turning around, "Why not?"

I hear him sigh and imagine him running a hand through his hair. "Because I love you, alright?"

My eyes widen and all of the anger immediately floats out of my body. I spin around to face him.

"I didn't want to tell you like this," he groans, avoiding eye contact with me. "I was planning on taking you out for a romantic dinner and then telling you when I brought you home."

I rush up to him, circling my arms around his neck and smooshing my lips against his.

His hands grip my hips tightly and our mouths move against each other in passion and heat.

"I didn't care how you told me, just as long as you did," I breathe out as I rest my forehead against his.
