I sit next to Jack on the top of the hill.

It smells like smoke, the grass is wet from prior rain, and the bugs are going at us like vultures but the stars are so beautiful tonight we couldn't help but want to see them.

So we searched the outskirts of LA for somewhere to look at the stars and now here we are, three weeks into our relationship and thirty minutes into our stargazing at one A.M.

"What's your sign?" I ask Jack, not moving my eyes from the view in front of me.

"Aries." I can feel his eyes on me but I don't look over.

"Aries tend to be courageous, optimistic, and confident." I look over at him, leaning my hands on the wet grass. "However they do tend to be impatient, short-tempered, and impulsive."

"Sounds about right," Jack laughs, leaning forward while picking at grass. "What are you?"

"I'm a Y/Z/S. We're known for being cool and better than Aries," I smirk and lean back on the grass.

"Hey!"

I laugh at his protest and feel him lay down next to me.

"You're beautiful," he breathes out softly.

I turn my head to look at him and give him a gentle smile.

"I love you," he sits up, a horrified look on his face at the words he just blurt out.

"I love you too," I reply simply.

His head snaps towards me, his green eyes studying me.

He gives me a relieved smile, leaning over my body to kiss me with his soft lips.

"You're perfect," he breathes out. "How did I get so lucky?"

I run a hand through his hair. "I ask myself that every day."
