I sigh, getting home from my half day of work.

I'm glad it was only a half day but still, working on Valentine's Day is tough, especially when I actually have a boyfriend this year.

I don't know if he'll actually take it seriously though- we are only four months into the relationship.

I open the apartment door, knowing it's unlocked because Jack's usually here even though we don't live together and this is my apartment.

I look up from sliding my shoes off, shocked to see pearl and pastel pink colored balloons cluttering the entrance area, two colors that I love.

"Um, Jack?" I call out warily, closing the door behind me.

"Hey, you're home," Jack walks out from the living room and holds his arms out for a hug. "Happy Valentine's Day, baby."

He wraps me in a hug and then pulls back to give me a passionate kiss on the lips.

"Happy Valentine's Day," I repeat, a smile working its way onto my face.

Jack always manages to cheer me up.

"So how do you like the balloons?" He asks as he grabs my wrist, tugging me gently towards the living room.

"They're beautiful, thank you."

"That's not all I got you," Jack says, motioning towards a cardboard box that sits on the coffee table. "Open it."

I give him a skeptical look before tugging the cardboard flaps off slowly.

A Siberian husky puppy is sitting at the bottom.

"You remember," I coo in awe, staring at the puppy in front of me.

A while ago I told Jack that I've always wanted a husky.

Looks like he listened.

"Oh you're so cute," I pull the furry bundle of joy out of the box and into my arms.

"He's a boy, one month old, birthday on January 15th, Siberian husky..." Jack rattles off, thinking of what else he could tell me.

"What's his name?" I scratch the puppy's neck, making him tilt his head back and eyes close.

I giggle.

"They didn't give him a name yet."

I look up at Jack, bewildered. "What? What did they call him then?"

He shrugs and wraps an arm around me, tugging me closer to look at the puppy's face.

"What about... Comet?" I suggest.

He smirks.

Full House is our favorite show to watch together, and we love staring up at the stars at night so it's a meaningful name.

"I love it," he says through pecks on my neck.

I giggle.

"I do have one more gift," he pulls away from me and brings out a box, giving it to me when I set Comet down.

I rip off the wrapping paper and open the box.

"This is so much chocolate," I drool at the sight.

The box is filled with 3 Musketeers, Snickers, Milky Way, and Twix bars.

"Do you like it?" Jack inquires, worry underlining his voice.

"I love it!" I fling my arms around his neck and peck his cheek as much as I can.

He laughs, pushing me away playfully. "Now go get changed into your pajamas so we can watch our favorite movies and eat pizza from our favorite pizza place."

"You're the best," I sigh dreamily, starting to walk away.

I feel something smack my ass though and I turn around to see him looking at me suggestively.

"Later," I wink.
