There's a knock on the front door of my apartment and I stand up, slipping my phone I was browsing Tumblr on into my purse.

I stop in front of the mirror next to the front door and do a quick check over my outfit, makeup, and hair.

"Hi," I smile, opening the door.

Jack looks wonderful in a button up blue shirt, ripped black skinny jeans, and black Converse.

"Hi, you look beautiful," Jack smiles back, offering out a bouquet of lilies. "I got these for you."

"Oh, thank you and thank you," I take the lilies from him. "Um, you can wait in the living room if you want while I put these in a vase."

I quickly grab a glass from the cupboard (because I don't own a vase) and put the flowers in there.

He's so thoughtful.

"So where are we going?" I ask, locking my apartment door after us.

"I was just thinking we could go out for dinner and then I could show you some things at the studio," he suggests. "Is that okay?"

"That sounds perfect," I give him a reassuring smile.

He takes me to Applebee's for dinner and I order the chicken tenders basket.

"I forgot to tell you how nice you look," I say.

"But you look nicer," Jack replies.

"I could argue you on that," I grin teasingly.

"You stand your ground. I'm impressed," he sips from his Sprite.

I want to say something like "if we stay together you'll see more of it" but I'm not sure if I should.

I mean, it's still the first hour of the first date.

We make chitchat throughout the meal and he pays the bill in the end- even though I argued to split it.

"This is really good," I compliment him after he plays a new song for me.

"You think so?"

"I know so," I grin at him and he smiles back.

He plays a few more songs for me and I genuinely love them all.

I love all of Jack and Jack's music, it's just got a way to get you moving or singing along.

"I had an amazing time," Jack tells me as he drops me off at my apartment.

"Me too. We should do it again sometime," I suggest.

Jack nods and stares into my eyes with those goddamn captivating blue eyes.

He leans in and before I know it, we're kissing.

His right hand reaches forward to hold my waist lightly and the left one goes up to capture my jaw.

My hands reach up and gently grab his jaw.

Our lips move like they're meant to be together.

We pull apart and I smile at him.

He returns it and steps back. "I'll text you."

"Okay," I can barely get out, still in a trance by the wonderful kiss.

He starts walking down the hall and I open my apartment, stepping in and closing the door behind me.

I slide down it and sigh in contempt.

Life is so extraordinary right now.
