The Host Club is Open for Business
Akiko's POV
Today is Haruhi's and my first day working in the host club. Me as a pianist and Haruhi as a host. It seemed overwhelming working with these group of people. Why did it have to be a host club that we just happened to walk in to? I'm going to be singing one of my favorite songs today. It is called Nanairo no Compass. It was sung by Ichinose Tokiya back when he was Hayato. It is still one of my favorite songs though. So, I walk over to the piano and get ready. I sit down at the grand piano and begin to sing and play with all of my heart. () I look up to see some people crowded around me clapping. To be honest, I was surprised, not many people had heard me sing and play the piano before. I smiled and stood up to take a bow. Just as I was coming up from my bow, Tamaki had rushed up to me and starting hugging me like crazy, "That was sooo cute Akiko, just adorable."
"Thank you, I guess," I said, still recovering from when he started spinning me around like crazy. That song took a lot out of me, so I'm going to go and take a look around the place. I notice that Haruhi seemed to having a good time with her customers. I inch closer to hear that she is talking about how her mother had died 10 years ago. She must be so lonely at home. Then Tamaki calls Haruhi over to meet one of his guest. "Akiko, you come here, too, " he said. So, I followed Haruhi over there. "This is Princess Ayanakoji, one of my regular guests," he introduced. Haruhi and I looked at each other then looked back at them.
"It's a pleasure to meet you," we both said.
"That was so cute," Tamaki said grabbing Haruhi and spinning her around. I feel a tad bit sorry for her, but very glad he didn't pick me up.
"Mori-senpai, help," Haruhi called out. Mori-senpai came over to us and took Haruhi out of Tamaki's arms. It was very faint, but I could see his cheeks blush just a little bit. He must have figured out Haruhi's little secret, I thought. Now the only person who hasn't figured out, Tamaki-senpai. That guy can be so oblivious.
"Mori-senpai, you really didn't have to go that far," I said.
"Come on Haruhi, give Daddy a hug," Tamaki said.
"I've already got a dad and I don't need another one," Haruhi said, she sounded annoyed.
"Aw, it's OK Tamaki," I said. "I'll give you a hug."
"Thank you, Akiko, you're so sweet," Tamaki-senpai said. "Unlike, somebody over there."
"Well, Tamaki-senpai, I don't want you just hugging me at random times. You can go and hug Akiko for all I care, so just leave me alone," Haruhi stated.
-Awhile Later-
"Haruhi, I can't find my bag," I told her. I was worried all of my stuff was in there. Including all the letters that Otoya has written to me.
"I can't find mine, either," Haruhi said. Then, she looked out of the window. "There they are, in the pond."
"I didn't know there were bullies at this school." I said. "I guess they're everywhere. Let's go and get our stuff." I was really worried. I didn't want to lose every single letter Otoya has written to me. We started running to the pond. Ayanakoji stopped us. She was telling us about how we are just commoners and how we should not get used to Tamaki doting on us. She sounded like she was jealous of us. I have a feeling she was the one who threw our bags into the pond. I don't have time for this. I don't want all of the letters to be completely soaked. I started running faster. Haruhi and I got to the pond and took our shoes off and began searching for our stuff. I found my bag, textbooks, and wallet, but I couldn't find my folder with the letters in it. I had put it in a fabric binder, so I hope that it hasn't gotten very wet. "You two got some nerve skipping out on club activities," I heard a voice say. I realized it was Tamaki-senpai. "Why is your stuff all wet?"
