Akiko's POV
"Now that I think about it, I don't remember anything about you when I was younger, Akiko," Tamaki said.
"I mean when I was born you would have only been 4 years old, I can't expect you to remember me," I told him.
"Exactly," the twins said.
"So, you can't even remember the faintest thing about her, Tamaki-senpai," Haruhi asked.
"Well, I do remember one time when I was little, my mother was going on a business trip for about 9 months," Tamaki said. "It started around October and ended around July."
"That must be it, then," I said. "Do you remember why I was abandoned though?"
"To be honest, no," Tamaki said. "But I do remember meeting grandmother for the first time the day mother came back. Maybe we should ask father about it."
"Tamaki-senpai, I don't think that is a good idea," I pointed out. "What would happen to your family if word got out that the Suoh family had purposely abandoned a baby? I think it is best that we just not tell anyone, you know?"
"She's got a point there, Tamaki," Kyoya said.
"But why would the chairman accept her here at Ouran if he knew that it was his daughter anyway, Kyo-chan?" Honey-senpai asked.
"That is a question that has still not been answered yet, Honey-senpai," Kyoya responded.
"You know guys, this is a lot to take in, so I'm going to go home. If that is OK with you," I said. It was true this was giving me a headache. I have got to stop by the supermarket to buy myself some food. I always feel better after food.
"It's fine we are going to leave as well, Akiko," Kyoya said.
Tamaki's POV
Now everything makes sense, I thought. All those times when grandmother would say to me things about a little girl. She had been talking about Akiko all of this time. I can't believe that I had had a little sister this whole time, and she had been right in front of my face. I know Akiko told me not to ask father about this, but I think I really should. She deserves to know why she was abandoned. No kid should ever be abandoned, and even if they are they should at least know why they are abandoned, right? At least now I have another person I could add to my Kotatsu dream (refer to the Manga). I want to know more about what happened, I thought and I started to run to the limousine. When I got home, I asked if I could call my father on the phone. The maids told me I could try, but they weren't sure if I could reach him or not. I didn't care, I tried anyway. I reached for the phone and dialed my father's number.
"Hello?" Yes! He pick up! "Tamaki is that you?"
"Yes, father this is me. Are you busy at the moment?"
"No not really, I am actually on my way over to the second mansion right now."
"Really? Are you coming over for a visit?"
"Why yes I am. I am nearly at the front door. I will talk to you when I get inside."
"OK."
In just a couple of minutes father has pulled up in his limousine. I was really nervous about asking him about Akiko. As he made his way to the front door, I started becoming more nervous. What if he doesn't know anything about her after all? I thought.
"Hello, Tamaki." I heard my father's voice.
"Hi, father."
"So when I was on the phone it sounded like you wanted to talk to me about something."
"Yes I did. Would you like to stay for dinner tonight?"
"Sure why not?"
As the maids set up for dinner, my father and I headed for dining room. In no time dinner was being served to us. When they were done serving us dinner, my father said, "What was it you wanted to talk about Tamaki?"
"I learned something interesting about one of the honor students attending Ouran today, father," I stated. I didn't want to give off too much information yet.
"Ah, there is always something new in the commoner world for us to explore, isn't there?"
"Well, what I learned was more than just about the commoner lifestyle, father," I told him. "It was younger honor student today."
"So you have finally figured it out, huh?"
So he really did know. "Yes, you finally figured out she is only 12 years old."
"What?!? I already knew that father!"
"I thought it would've taken you while, considering how long it took for you to figure out Fujioka's gender."
"No, that is not what I learned," I replied hotly. "By any chance, did you know that Akiko was an orphan?"
"Of course, Tamaki."
"You must also know birth parents as well," I said.
"I do."
"Well you should. You are one of them, aren't you?" I asked.
"I guess that is what found out today, isn't it?" I nodded. "I'm sorry, Tamaki. I didn't want you to have to find out this way."
"So, why did you abandon her, father?"
"There were many reasons. Starting with your grandmother," father said. "She didn't want another illegitimate child known to the Suoh family, so she decided to put her up for adoption, but in Japan."
I sat there quietly listening to his story.
"To be honest, I was surprised that she had entered the scholarship test for Ouran Academy. I guess she really took that letter seriously."
"What letter?"
"Before I had dropped your sister off at an orphanage I put a letter in her basket, it had told her that I would find her one day when she became successful."
"So, you knew about her, yet you still accepted her into Ouran Academy?" I was still confused.
"Of course I did. I wanted to show your grandmother how great your little sister is. Especially since she qualified for an elite school at a young age. A high school for that matter."
"I get it now," I said. "Will there be any way for her to be adopted back into the family?"
"There is not really much of a chance, unless your grandmother decides there would be some use for her in the family."
"OK."
"I'm sorry, Tamaki."
"It is alright father."
"Well, I have to go now.'
"Goodbye, father."
As he walked away I thought about ways that Akiko would be accepted into the family. Now that I knew all of this, I am not sure I really want to tell Akiko anymore. She is still working towards her dream of becoming a successful doctor, so I shouldn't get in her way.
**Author's Note: I know this is a short chapter, but I had to get all the why's in here. I didn't want to start "Attack of the Lady Manager" just yet. I thought it would have made the chapter too long. Anyways, I am so glad there are actually people reading my story. I appreciate it. I never thought there would be actual people reading the story. I just wrote this for fun. Anyways, See you next chapter! BYE BYE!
**This is the author and I was reading the story myself to check the Grammer and for some reason paragraphs keep getting cut off. I'm sorry for this inconvenience.
