Akiko's POV
I was walking through the hallways towards the chairman's office. I kept wondering, Why was I called to the chairman's office?
It was nerve racking as I walked through the long hallways of Ouran Academy. It took me at least 5 minutes until I finally reached the door the the chairman's office. I knocked on the door. "You may come in," a voice called out. It was a male voice. I opened the door and walked in.
"You wanted to see me, Chairman?" I asked.
"Yes, I did," he replied. "Why don't we sit and chat for a little while, Akiko?" I kept wondering what he wanted to talk to me about. What was so important that he wanted me to talk to him about?
"So, what was it you wanted to talk to me about, Chairman?" I asked, trying not to sound to pushy.
"I wanted to tell you how impressed I am about your work in school, considering you are only 12 years old for that matter," he said.
"Thank you..."
"I wanted to know where you get all your inspiration from," he asked. Did he know about me? Does he know that I know about my past. If he did, why would he be asking me about this? Did he want me to answer the question he already knew? What do I do?
"Well, I had always had this dream of becoming successful when I was younger," I answered carefully.
"Could it be from a parent or a letter perhaps?" He knew. Of course he knew, he was my birth father, right? I am so confused.
"So, you know?" I asked.
"Of course I do," he replied. "I am your birth father, you know? I knew that you already knew that because the members of the Host Club had already found out your past. I am the chairman, so I should know about each and every one of my students, shouldn't I?"
I nodded. "So why did you call me down here in the first place?" I asked, still confused on why he called me down here in the first place.
"So, as you know, the Suoh family is very well-known in the business world, correct?" I nodded. He continued, "If word got out that the Suoh family had abandoned a child at a young age, it would cause a scandal. I would advise you to keep this information a secret."
"Sir, I figured out that much and had already told everyone who knew about it to keep it a secret."
"That was a very smart move on your part," he said.
"Thank you," I said. "So regarding my past, and if I am not mistaken you are my birth father, correct?"
"Yes, that is correct."
"So, then you were the one who wrote the letter that was in my basket?"
"That is also correct," he answered. "It seems you really took that letter to heart didn't you? I didn't know that you would try to go to an elite school like Ouran Academy on a scholarship."
"I wanted the best education possible."
"Yes, but at such a young age," he said. "If you keep this up, we might be able to win custody over you one day." Now that surprised me, whoever said that my parents wanted to win custody over me.
"Excuse me?"
"I said if you keep this up you might be a part of the family once again."
"Whoever said I wanted to be a part of the family again!"
"Well, you were trying really hard to become successful just like the letter said."
"I was only following what the letter told me to do so that I could find you once again, but I didn't mean to have you as my parents. My life is fine as it is right now. I have a family at the orphanage and great friends here at Ouran, and I don't want any of that being ruined." And with that I left the chairman's office and headed back to Music Room #3. It was after hours and everyone should have left by now, since we didn't have customers because of the twins' fight today. I just wanted to go back and play the piano and sing to my heart's content. That is the only thing that would calm me down at the moment. Music is one of the best ways to forget everything and just play. That is what Otoya taught me when I was younger. He taught me the joy of music. Sometimes I wish things were back to the way they were and it was just me, Otoya, and the kids at the orphanage. It was always fun there.
I had finally arrived at the club room and I opened the door to find the Host Club members still there. Why were they still here? I thought they were going home after we found out the twins' fight was fake.
"Why are you guys still here?" I asked.
"We were worried about you, Aki-chan," Honey-senpai said.
"Why would you be worried about me? I was just going to have a talk with the chairman."
"Yeah, but you never know what could happen around here," Haruhi said.
"I guess that is alright. Well, I am fine so you guys can go home now," I said.
"Are you going to go home yet Akiko?" Tamaki asked. "I thought we could spend some time together."
"I'm sorry, Tamaki-senpai, but I want to stay here for a while," I said. "Maybe some other time."
He looked said, but left with the other Host Club members behind him. I didn't want to tell anyone about the talk I had with the chairman. I just wanted to be alone. I sat down and began to play. I didn't sing, I just played and listened to the beauty of the piano.
Third Person POV
Akiko was playing beautifully. She was so absorbed in her music that she didn't notice the door open. It was Kyoya. He had forgotten something in the club room. He saw her playing and stopped moving. It is so beautiful, Kyoya thought. She looks so passionate. He didn't know what he was feeling. A mixture of love and hate for the girl. She was sweet, but the was that idiot's sister. They are alike, but different. He couldn't help but stare at her until she stopped playing. Akiko had noticed that Kyoya was staring at her.
"That was beautiful, Akiko," Kyoya said.
"Thank you, Kyoya-senpai," Akiko said. Since when did Kyoya started giving compliments? she thought.
"Your playing was as beautiful as you," he said.
Akiko started blushing. "Well, thank you, but I have to go now. See you later, Kyoya-senpai." With that she rushed out of the room. Leaving Kyoya to contemplate on his feelings.
**Author's Note: I know this chapter was bad. I normally have some sort of plot in my mind, but I didn't know what to do today. It was a bad block, but I wrote a chapter nonetheless. There will be more bonding between Akiko and each of the characters. I just love Kyoya and decided to write about him first. I obviously won't be writing love scenes between her and Tamaki though. Nor will I write about her and Haruhi. I plan on writing a special birthday chapter for her since her birthday is coming up. I had decide to give her the same birthday as myself, so we are having a birthday together. Also, we are the same age so that is also a similarity I share with her. Anyways, see you next chapter! BYE! BYE!
