Dear Akiko,
It has been so long. I can't wait to see you again. You remember how close we were when we were kids, right? I can't wait! I am leaving for Japan in a couple days. Since, my parents thought it would be a good idea to go there for my summer vacation. We can catch up when I get back to Japan. See you!
-MitsuAkiko's POV
I had just read the letter. I paled. Mitsu was not the best person in the world to come visit me. She loved making fun of how close I was to Otoya, and she liked to needle me for how short I was. (Note: Akiko is very small for her age, she is only 4'8) She thought it was harmless, but it was really mean. Also, she had so much energy. She would be bouncing off the walls after a super tiring day. This was going to be a looooong visit.
-Mitsu arrives-
"Hi! Akiko!" Mitsu said.
"Hi!" I forced a smile on my face. We hugged. I turned around to see two adults in their mid 20's coming towards us. Mitsu was adopted by a Newlywed couple. When they adopted her, they moved to America. In America, their summer break started at the beginning of June. Here in Japan our summer break doesn't start until July 20. (Sorry if I'm wrong, but I am just following the calendar of Japanese school on a website I found. And in some parts of America, schools start in September, but our schools start in August so that is what we are going with here.)
"Hi there! We are Mitsu's parents," the lady said. "I'm Igarashi Ayami and this is my husband Igarashi Eicchi."
"Nice to meet you, Mr. and Mrs. Igarashi," I said.
"No need to be so formal, just call us Ayami and Eicchi, OK?" Ayami said. "By the way, are you Akiko?"
"Yes."
"We have heard so much about you. Thank you for being so kind to Mitsu while she was here," Ayami said. She was so nice.
"It's not a problem. She is just the best," I lied. I was just the only one who dealt with her. "I'm sorry, but I must be on my way or I will be late to school."
"Oh OK. Goodbye, Akiko. I hope to get to talk to you some more." Ayami was so nice. I wondered how she dealt with Mitsu all this time.
-Time skip to school-
I meet Haruhi at the front gate. "Hi, Haruhi!" I said cheerfully.
"Hey, Akiko! You seem cheerful today."
"Not really, just have an old friend visiting today." I told her about Mitsu.
"I don't know if you would call her a friend," Haruhi said once I finished telling her about Mitsu.
"She can be really fun and nice, but sometimes she can be kind of mean."
-After classes because classes are boring-
Haruhi and I were walking to the club room together. We were talking about some random things. We opened the door to the club room. Everyone was already there. IT was going to be a normal day today because we were not going to cosplay today. I am grateful for that.
"Hi Aki-chan, Haru-chan!" Honey-senpai said. "Would you guys like to have some cake with me?"
"I would love to Honey-senpai," I said. We walked over to have some cake. There weren't any guests at the moment and they wouldn't be arriving for a while.
Honey-senpai and I were enjoying our cake, but the door suddenly burst open.
"Oh it's a girl," the twins said.
