Chapter 17: Getting texts?

*Case's Pov*

Ever since that day Adamaris asked me if I liked her we haven't talked. She doesn't know but I do have feelings for her but not a lot.

I get jealous when she is with Mark. They seem like a cute couple but I want her to be with me because I know I can treat her better then he can.

I wanted to sit with them during lunch but I thought it just would've been awkward like the day they came over.

Well, we are going to have to make up soon since we will live with each other for a bit.

I can't believe school ends in two months. It's a good thing still too because then Mark won't live close to us. And they won't be together all the time.

I wonder why she likes him anyway? I wonder why she asked me if I like her?

*Mark's Pov*

I read the messages between them and I felt kind of bad when she talked about me in it. I gave her her phone back when I finished reading it.

"Hey, I'll be back okay?" I said getting up.

"Okay?" She said grabbing her phone.

I went to the bathroom to think for a bit.

Does she know that I might not ask her out?
She can't know she wasn't with me when I was talking about it with her parents.
She wasn't with me when I told Case.
Unless she was eavesdropping.
But I know she wouldn't do that.
Plus I'm pretty sure she would've understood anyway.
She going to move so well be more apart since I'm moving too.
I'm moving to Pennsylvania when school ends. Two days after Adamaris leaves to Nebraska.

I should possibly go back now. I got out of the bathroom and went back to the table.

"Hey, I'm going to go sit with my friends." I said grabbing my tray.

"Okay." Adamaris and Alli said.

I went to go sit with some friends I've made through Shay.

There was Jake, Jackson, Gabriel, Tony, and William. I went to go sit with them since I felt bad to sit with Adamaris and Alli.

"Hey, guys." I said sitting at the table.

"Hey." They all say back.

"How come you were sitting with them?" Tony asked.

"Oh because they wanted to show me something really dumb about Case." I said lying.

"Oh. Their so dumb trying to get you to sit with." Jackson said.

"I know right! Like I always sit with you guys why would I sit with them just for a day." I said making us all laugh.

I felt bad because all of it was hurting me. I can't believe she talked about me with the person.

Why hasn't she told me sooner like the first day it happened. And why did she have to talk about me?

"Hey, are you okay you seem a little sad and hurt?" Gabriel said.

"Huh? Oh, I'm fine just lost in thoughts." I said.

"Oh okay. But what are we going to do after school today?" William asked.

"Ugh... I don't know about you guys but I'm leaving for the weekend so I have to go pack." I said.

It was true it's Friday so we were going to go on a little vacation.

"Oh, where to?" Tony asked.

"Las Vegas," I said getting up.

I walked over to a trash can and threw away my leftover food. I walked back to the table and placed my try on the stack of trays.

"Dude! Nu-uh!" William said.

"Yeah, I am." I said getting on my phone.

I had 22 messages. Five from my sister, four from my mom, four from an unknown number, three from Adamaris, three from Alli, and three from Case.

"Hey, kiddo doesn't go anywhere after school."

"So I found a house in Pennsylvania so well be moving when you guys finish school."

"Make sure your sister doesn't leave the house."

"Don't go out either."

"Okay." I replied.

I then went to my sister's messages.

"Hey, dumb-butt."

"We have to go straight home after school."

"Are you going to bring anyone over?"

"I might."

"Oh yeah and we're not allowed to leave the house."

"I know. I don't know. Okay. And I know." I replied.

I then went on Case's messages.

"Hey."

"Do you know if Adamaris's is mad at me?"

"What are you doing after school?"

"Um... I don't know and I'm going somewhere with my sister." I replyed lying a bit.

I then went on Alli's messages.

"Hey?"

"How come you left like that?"

"Did you read something else?"

"Hey sorry I just wanted to sit with my other friends like I always do." I replied

I then went to Adamaris's messages.

"Hey..."

"How come you didn't sit with us?"

"Did you read something else?"

"Hey sorry I just wanted to sit with my other friends," I replied

Then I got to my last messages and they were from an unknown person.

"Hey, Mark!"

"Seems like Adamaris showed you the messages."

"Well, now I'll be texting it to both of you."

"And here's the thing you can only tell five people and three of them have to be your sister, Adamaris, and Alli."

"Why are you doing this? And fine." I sent.
