cidney's pov

i leaned my head back against the wall with a sigh.

"jack?"

he looked at me still angered. "what?" he rolled his eyes.

"i'm sorry ok. i just.. i told him that couldn't do it anymore."

jack looked at his phone. "how long did this go on?"

how long did this go on? "i don't...remember exactly."

"you don't remember? how can you not? i could." he kept his eyes on his phone waiting for my response.

"what do you mean? have you been out or something? we both swore jack!" i became confused.

had he gone out and i not noticed? i'm so confused if he's talking recent or the past. it's something i noticed of him. he doesn't really emphasize the time tenses. he doesn't say if its something now, in the future, or the past.

"i don't know, have i been out? you should know, you're always acting like i'm five!" he put down his phone finally. acting like he's five? he's the one giving me a lecture!

"i do not jack! i don't watch your every move like you do me."

he sighed "ok we're both acting five, let's stop cid."

i crawled up onto the couch sitting next to him.

i leaned against him "this is how we'll last." i whispered facing his way.

"what? cidney this isn't the fault in our stars." he chuckled.

"i mean like we need to get over our bickering instead of going into it. i don't like arguing with you." i said into his arm.

"i don't like to argue with you either. i love you." he kissed my forehead.

i could feel my cheeks heat up after. only a feeling i had gotten when we were first together.

"i love you too." i looked up at him with a soft smile.

he returned one starting to talk. "i should take you out ya know? like when i had asked you out." he chuckled.

a bigger smile spread across my lips. "well i guess i would love that." i got up like my sixteen year old self said.

he laughed imitating himself also.

"ya i'll pick you up when you're dad will like it. the guy has a pretty big hand ya know? could strangle me with one squeeze." he put his hands together recreating the scene.

"that date was amazing. i loved your moms chicken." i laughed walking to our room upstairs.

"yeah, you have to admit that shit was pretty nice." he followed me.

"where are we going?" i asked looking at my closet.

he held me by the waist resting his head on my shoulder. "somewhere classy so wear something classy."

i nodded picking out an outfit.
