"Love is when you take away the feeling, the passion, and the romance in a relationship - and find out you still feel for that person."
- Cristina Orante
Evelyn's POV
The only thing on my mind right now is Will. Will: the man who came to save her. The man who would risk anything for her. The one who she also seemed to show certain feelings for. But she's not in love with him. She's marrying...Commodore Norrington.
I try to shrug it off as nothing, as the way of life, but I can't keep myself from meddling in her love life. Right when my fists clench and I'm about to speak out against this turn of events, I feel someone's hand wrap around my left fist and instantly the anger in my chest dissolves as I'm caught off guard, looking down to see who grabbed my balled fist.
Just then, is when Jack starts speaking and I look over to see that he has hidden my angered fists from their view, and he's now stopping me from throwing a fit, which he probably knew I would do. Damn it, he knows me too well.
"A wedding! I love weddings! Drinks all around!" Jack interrupts quickly and I give him a fleeting angered glance but pull my hand away, cross my arms and walk towards the other side of the ship.
I still feel Jack's and Elizabeth's eyes on me but I don't turn around, I just listen to what the idiot in a white wig has to say.
"Mr. Sparrow, you will accompany these fine men to the helm and provide us with the bearing to Isla de Muerta. You will then spend the rest of the voyage contemplating all possible meanings of the phrase "silent as the grave." Do I make myself clear?" Commodore Homewrecker commands quietly to Jack but I hear him.
"Inescapably clear." I hear the nerves in Jack's voice as he answers and I turn around to see him with an odd look on his face as he looks from Norrington and back to me. I just sigh in annoyance and turn back around, facing the ocean, not wanting to be around these holier-than-thou men.
----
Less than an hour later and Elizabeth is dressed up in some red coat and khaki pants, uniform-like garb that I refused to change into even though my clothes were still a bit wet from the day before.
Just as Norrington, his men and Jack are boarding into the boats, Elizabeth and I also take a step into the boats but quickly everyone stops us. One of the men who's already sitting in the boat grabs my leg and my eyes instantly go to him, narrowing and my glare intensifying. He loosens his grip on my leg slightly and I kick him back by his chest and just as I do this, I feel a sword kissing the side of my neck.
My eyes follow the long sword to, you probably guessed it, Commodore Kissass. I roll my eyes and take a step back from the sword and that's when he almost takes another step towards me but someone's hand on his shoulder stops him.
"I wouldn't be doing that, mate," Jack's sarcastic voice speaks up behind him and I shake off the feeling of relief that his voice gave me there.
Norrington and I hold our harsh glare until he pulls away and looks to Elizabeth.
"What do you two think you are doing?" His bland face holds no sign of emotion as he asks this. God, how could she agree to marry him?
"Going to save Will. What do you think you're doing getting in the middle of that?" I take a step toward him now that he's lowered his sword and it isn't about to impale my jugular vein. He just laughs sarcastically and I swear that's the first time I've ever seen any emotion on his face.
"No you're not." He finishes his laugh with this statement and when he rudely pushes me out of the way and begins getting into the boat is when I unsheathe my sword, aiming it towards him.
