Dan was lost in his cereal when Phil woke up. He smiled, "Have a good night sleep?" He asked. He had not, but he hoped Phil did at least.

Phil nodded sleepily. "Yeah, it was great." He said smiling. Everything was right in his world at the moment. He no longer was dealing with the pain of unrequited love. His sleep had indeed been peaceful.

Dan nodded and took a bite of his cereal. He had been waiting in his sofa crease barely paying attention to tumblr for 3 hours. He really didn't sleep that night.

He watched Phil make his cereal in the least creepy way possible. At least in what he thought was the least obvious position.
It really wasn't. Staring at his ass was a head task to accomplish in secret. Phil felt his eyes on him the whole time.

But he chose to ignore it.
Because he wasn't in love with Dan anymore,
And he wasn't going to go back to being hopeless.

When Phil turned back around with his cereal done, Dan immediately snapped back into his sofa crease awkwardly. "Shit shit shit shit shit." He thought to himself. He stared at his screen intensely pretending to be busy. He waited for Phil to ask him what he was doing, but Phil just walked in, gave him a small smile, and went to turn on Bates Motel. Why hadn't Phil asked why Dan was so openly staring at Phils ass?

He looked confusedly at nothing, and then shrugged while setting his laptop next to him and curling up his knees with his mostly finished cereal.

Maybe he had gotten away with it. He chuckled to himself, and took a bite of Shreddies. Success felt nice.
Phil noticed Dans light chuckle and said, "What? What's so funny?" Phil couldn't help but wonder considering what they were witnessing on screen wasn't very funny at all.

Dan smiled wider kind of hoping that Phil thought he looked cute when he smiled. If only he knew that Phil was in love with it once.
Once.

"Nothing." He murmed cheekily. Trying not to explode at the sight of Phils eyes staring at him. He took another bite of his cereal.

Then Phil gave him an awkward smile, and said "Ok." Phil's smile was so cute.

Dan almost choked on a Shreddie.

Most mornings were like this. It was rarely ever different. Dan admired Phil. Phil completely ignored it.
As time went on, it was like this.
And everybody saw it.
Everybody.

Their videos might as well been Dan and Phil kissing, people were so convinced they were together. They could deny their relations, (which despite being untrue were definitely true.) It hurt Dan. He too wondered why they were not in a relationship. Why wouldn't they be? He wasn't convinced himself that Phil was straight. He fought his own thoughts a lot.

He was highly trained in the art of teasing Phil, and hitting him pretty much every time he wanted to kiss him. Which was a lot. Oh well.

But Phil just got a little annoyed at Phan art. It reminded him of everything he had once wanted. He didn't want to rekindle old feelings. No way he was going to fall.

Again.

It was their fans though. And Dan and Phil loved them to bits. Even if they wrote and drew things that needed to burn in the fiery bits of hell. That was okay. For the most part, everything was okay. Dan wasn't really brokenhearted over his situation. He just thought to much. He considered telling Phil. He was scared, but Phil was the sweetest person he had ever met. And everything would be okay.
For the most part.

I don't believe in love at first sight.
It can't exist. I know this, because of how it was to fall for you. The process was so slow at first, I didn't even notice I cared for you at all. Time went faster than me falling for you. So when we ran out of it, you were all I thought about. You were everything I needed, and I wish I would've said it out loud sooner. After a while It hit me all at once. It was like this, the more I watched you, the more I couldn't look away. And the longer I talked to you, the more addicting your presence became. It all came falling down on me at record pace. I realized I loved when it was far too late.
