"Phil, I need you."

"For what?"

"Everything."

"I'm not sure what you mean."

Dan looked at Phil, and sighed. "You are everything to me, you know? Everything. And we just keep pretending like we're okay. We weren't okay that day you rescued me from my own thoughts, and we still aren't okay now. It's like nothing has changed. We are ignoring each other so we won't have to talk about us anymore, but the only time we were okay again was the time you helped me deal with us. All it took was three simple words. It's like we forget how much we mean to each other, Phil." Dan took a much needed breath, and was about to continue when Phil interupted.

"I never forget how much you mean to me," The blue-eyed boy whispered. Dan didn't say anything out of shock at the reply. "I think I just forget that I mean anything to you."

Phil stared at Dan with every bit of emotion hoping he would understand why it was hard for him to be around him.

It didn't work. A flash of something new shone on the brown haired boys face. A bit of anger...and frustration.

"Don't you EVER, and I mean EVER forget how much you mean to me!" Dan said. Phil widened his eyes, and Dan continued with a full on rant.

"I love you more than anything, and I need you for everything. I can't live without you. Everything that led my life to what it is today is because of you and I will always love you. Don't you see? There is no one I could possibly want to spend more of my time with. I'm so glad that I have you. I can't imagine a life without you, or even waking up to someone else here everyday. You make me the happiest. You help me through everything. I want to spend the rest of my life with you."

Dan paused and slowly made his way to Phil. He took Phil's pale hands in his, and stood on his knees pretty much on top of him. His knees were on either side of Phil's outstretched legs, and his face was leaned in very close. The position they were in made Phil gulp. Phil's mind was already spinning before, but now it was going haywire.

"Can you imagine us with anyone else?" Dan finished in a whisper.

Phil could barely conjure up an answer. No he couldn't. He wanted Dan forever.

"I could, but it kills me everytime." Phil says. A small smile plays on Dan's very tempting lips.

"That's exactly what I thought, Phil." Dan says. They stare at each other, and suddenly he leans in. Phil knows he shouldn't, but he does to. No more missed opportunities.

When their lips touch for the first time there is need. Passion fills up there empty chests and drapes over them calmly. The air is taken out of their lungs, but the touch of their lips is just enough to keep them alive. It's so soft. So gentle. When they separate they realize that the need for love is too strong. This kiss was so much more than any kiss they'd ever shared with someone else.

They stare at each other again, the light catching both of their eyes so they saw various shades when they lost themselves. There is so much explaining neither know how to do. So many questions neither know the answer to as well. But they can deal with it later.

Phil almost feels bad when Dan kisses him again. He knows, that this can't last.

And she'll always be the best thing I'd ever had.
But truth be told I liked her better dead.
And how was I to know she'd kiss me on the first date.
And take me away when I wanted to stay.
Oh, she showed me a world beyond the first gifted grave.
Oh, how was I to know she'd kiss me on the first date.

She was hopeless, but addicting all at the same time.
Innocent, or hot a power expressed through rhyme.

You never knew when she's become your heart.
She was sugary sweet but bitter tart.

Old thief, she knew how to steal a breath away.
Oh how was I know she'd kiss me on the first date.
