As we walked into the slightly dated town house on the intersection of L and  12 we were watched by the whole street. I knew why we had to go under cover here.  Gosh these people were creepy.
The movers had already put the boxes inside and Mulder was already done with the bathroom. Good Lord he was frantic. as Mulder moved into the kitchen I walked into the living room to see Marks putting the cushions on the couch. "You need help," I said throwing a pillow her way.
"Nah I got it," she said pulling the coffee table towards the couch and falling back into the couch, heavily relaxing.
Mulder quickly walked into the room, "who wants to help me put up the basketball hoop."
"That's me," Marks and I said in unison.
Mulder walked outside and we fallowed. As we got down the steps Marks paused and looked around, " where's Scully"
Mulder pointed toward the garage," I saw here in there earlier."
Marks walked quickly into the garage and I said, "what's her problem."
Mulder shrugged as he took the basket ball hoop out of the truck.
I helped him set it up and we played a round of horse. Marks and Scully had not can out of the garage yet but we blew it off because, for all we knew, they were probably doing something smart.

That night Scully and Marks hadn't come back but I didn't worry because Mulder and I had a plan of our own. We were going to ask people to take a survey, to ya know, see how they were like.
We walked to the house directly across the street and knocked on the door. A burly, zombie like man walked to the door and slowly opened it. He stared directly forward as we talked to him about the survey about the quality of the streets. Once we said survey he spit in Mulder's face and slammed the door. I looked at Mulder and started laughing. Lord this was going to be a long mission.
