Each day got worse. Not because of the way he beat her. Because each day she literally died a little. She was weak. Barely breathing. But Krychek didn't even lighten up. Every day he shoved a camera in her face.
But one day was different. He had his henchmen put her in a car. She was worried, scared even.
"Put this on," Krychek handed her a black mask.
"Screw you," she said, silent tears running down her face. She could barely even say the words.
   "No need for that."
"It's completely necessary. Someone had to say it."
Krychek dug in his pocket pulling out keys and a needle. He started the car then pulled out the little medicine bottle. "I'm going to put you to sleep."
"I can see that," she said trying to get out of the men's hands. The more she struggled, the harder their grip got.
Krychek stuck the needle in her vein on her forearm.
"You can't do this," she yelled fighting the men, "you can't..." Her voice faded as her eyes rolled to the back of her head.
"Finally some quiet," Krychek pulled out the knife and stabbed her two more times.
   They drove to the park.
Mulder and Scully stood in the middle of the park looking everywhere for Krychek. He walked up with her in a blanket. She was asleep.
"Where will Skinner be next weekend," Krychek said setting her on the ground. Scully tried to help her but Krychek stopped her. "Tell me."
Mulder looked at Scully. "He will be at his house."
"Good," he picked her up and tossed her at Mulder. "That is all."
Mulder nelt down and lifted her mask. He smiled but tears still clouded his vision. "She has to get to the hospital." She opened her eyes and noticed she was in Mulder's arms. She had tears of joy and pain fill her eyes as she smiled a short smile at Mulder. He smiled back and stroked her hair as she closed her eyes again. Scully called the ambulance and ran to them. She looked at her and smiled as tears fell from her face.
She woke up in the hospital to see Milder looking severely tired and holding her hand. She grinned at him noticing that the pain was almost gone.
"Mulder," she said squeezing her hand.
He smiled and kissed her cheek, "Hey."
She looked at him. She noticed that he was still scared for her, "I'm gonna be fine."
"But what he did to you. I will never forgive him. I want to kill him."
"And so do I. But that's the least of our worries. We need to figure out why Krychek wanted to know about Skinner."
   "I agree."
"Go home and sleep, Mulder. Please"
"Fine. But call me in the morning." Mulder walked out of the room.
She watched him walk away. She started to cry.
