"I'm staying at the hotel down the street about a block," Marks said gesturing down the road
"Ok," he said looking the way she had pointed looking for the hotel, "We will probably be there for about a week."
"Sounds good," Marks looked at him, "We are going to find her. No doubt."
He just looked at her then looked at the road. The hotel was only a block away but it felt like it took forever to get there.
He parked out front and walked her in. As she walked in front of him all he could think of was his sister. She walked like her. Confident. She almost acted like her but he knew that when they got used to each other she would be different. It was that way with Scully too.
He went back to the car and Marks put her bag in the trunk. She got in and fastened her seatbelt.
"So what's your story," he said. Honestly he was very curious.
"When I was four my parents and brother disappeared. My parents were found in a car that was burned but there was no third body. My family was very close to Scully's family and she took me in for two years until she got a job at the FBI. I was put in a foster home that beat me until I got sick. It's was a disease that was curable but the case I had was pretty bad. I got to Make A Wish. I chose to be in the FBI, for not a day, but the rest of my life so as I was going through treatment I was taking FBI standard tests. But the funny thing is, I was only sick for a week while I went through school," Marks paused showing him her shoulder, "Battle scar. Anyways after four years of schooling put into one year I graduated with high honors and got valedictorian," Marks held up her hand,"Now before you ask how, I already asked, it wasn't out of pity. I guess I'm super smart and athletic or something. Anywho then I got called in by Skinner and he told me you were looking four Scully. Also I thought you could help me find my brother."She sat back, looked at him and nodded.
