Today is the day, the day Kairah goes for surgery and the day the vows are exchanged.

Anthony, Temperance, Mama Samira, Mama Taylah, Leela, Dylan, Jaya, Zane, Mack, Nick, Robin, Anthony Sr., Justin, Grandma Shyla, Grandpops Sven, Justin, Kamel, Cherish, Shane, Shyann, and Sheena.

Although Cherish hasn't really been around much she feels it's only right to come and comfort her baby cousin. Even thought her and Temperance just started building their relationship, they both became like sisters they never had. They've only been talking for almost three months but have pretty much solved all problems Temperance had with most of the people on that side of her family.

"You have your letter?" Temperance causing everyone to look at her and Anthony.

"You wanna exchange now?" He asked looking at her.

"Yeah, it's to quiet and my minds is starting to have negative thoughts and I'm starting to get really nervous." She said causing Anthony to dig in his pocket.

He hasn't left home without the letter since Temperance reached the 39th week mark. He never knew if she was gone make it to the due date and he wanted to be able to hand her the letter when ever she asked for it.

Temperance then reached in her cross body purse and pulled out a black envelope with a gold seal. It had Anthony's name written so beautifully across the front in white.

She passed it to Anthony as he passed her a black envelope that had was folded in half but had a beautifully drawn picture of a White Egret Orchid .

Anthony opened the envelope carefully to be sure not to mess anything up.

Anthony began to read the letter while mouthing the words.

Dear Anthony or well husband,

Words can't explain how I feel about you. You taught me so much within these two years I've known you, I can only imagine what I will learn from being with you for a lifetime.
I know I was damaged goods when we got together and I basically put you through hell with my emotions and feeling like you was like every other man when you're not. I know you fought like hell to gain my trust but I fought to gain yours as well.
I'm not even going to try to put all my feelings for you and how much I love you in this letter because there isn't enough trees in this world to make enough paper in this world for me to write down everything I love about you.
I love you baby and even though we may fight and we both petty, I would never trade what we got in for anything.
I love you Anthony Shawn Miller Jr and I'm very proud to call myself your wife.

Anthony put the letter back in the envelope and pulled his wife into a hug before kissing her lips.

Temperance kissed him back and the opened the envelope being careful not to mess up the picture of one of her favorite flowers.

She slowly read the letter while playing with her necklace that Anthony gave her this morning which was Kairah's birth stone.

Dear Temperance my crazy wife

"I have seen only You, I have admired only You, I desire only You" to me this quote by Napoleon Bonaparte explain how I feel about you. No matter what happens in life this is how I will always feel about you. There is no one in the world that I will love like I love you expect our kids.
I'm not about to spill all my feelings for you in this letter because you know I'm not that type of person but I want you to know while you was trying to figure out the true meaning of love you was also teaching me what it meant to love somebody more then yourself.
I love you Temperance and nothing will ever change how I feel about. Not even how petty you act, your attitude, and surely not your eye problem.
I'm glade that you not only accepted my proposal but also that's you agreed to be my wife for eternity.

After Temperance finished the letter she wiped her tears and then laid her hand on Anthony's chest.

"I love you." They said at the same time causing each other to laugh.

They held each other and just kept rereading the letters. They was completely zoned out until Dr. Lewis entered the waiting room causing them book to rush to her.

"I'm happy to say surgery went well and Kairah is not in recovery." She said causing everyone to let out a breath of relief.

"Can I see her?" Temperance asked with so much hope in her eyes.

She understands that Kairah may still be sleep but she just needs to see her little chest move up and down to ensure her that her babygirl is okay.

"Sure thing, you and Anthony can follow me." Dr. Lewis said walking off.

Anthony and Temperance followed her while walking hand and hand. They both squeeze each other hand every once and while until they came to the NICU.

They went through the sterilizing process which took about 30 minutes and then they was finally about to see her.

"When these two weeks are over. I'm never letting you go." Temperance said as Kairah grabbed her gloved finger.

"You gone have to fight me over that." Ant said causing Kairah to grab his gloved finger as well.

They both just looked at their daughter as she held both of their pointer fingers in different hands.

They just smiled at her beauty, to them all they seen was her. They did see the bandage covering her stitches or the tubes and cords that were basically covering her smile body. They didn't pay the feed tube that was up her nose any mind or any thing. They just admired what they created together and was thankful that they would be able to see her grow up rather then burying her.
