Once back in my room, I set the crow on my window sill and sat on my bed. “I find out that I was getting the best birthday present, then I find out I’m not human and then I find my mom dead. All within the entire night! Fuck!” I exclaimed. I lay back on my bed and started crying again. I curled into a ball and just sobbed pathetically for god knows how long. I finally drifted to sleep, still curled into a ball.

She stood in the middle of the luscious green meadow. She wore a white dress that came down to her knees. She had raven black hair French braided down along her back. I started to move toward her, but froze when black raven wings appeared on her back. I gaped, watching the wings move slowly around her. “Do not fear me, Daughter.” I jumped slightly, hearing the woman’s voice move around us. Her voice was melodious, so beautiful. “Come here, Daughter.” She beckoned, and I followed her orders. I stood in front of her and looked at her. I gasped, staring into her eyes, which were black. She was pale, with these weird black tattoos around her arms.
“Who are you?” I asked, curiosity crossing my voice. The woman laughed and replied, “I am Karinara, Goddess of Chaos!” I looked at her strangely. “Goddess of Chaos?” I wondered. She smiled.
“Goddess of Chaos just means I am the Goddess of Dark Magic. Chaos is the darkest, purest magic of the Ancients,”
She sighed, probably reading my confusion.
“Ancients are the oldest kinds of vampires, pixies and witches. They are cruel, merciless. They will kill to get anything they desire. They don’t take pity on the weak, at all.” She looked at me and I saw her eyes change to an icy, frosty blue. Then she studied me, and I felt chills racing down my spine.
“You are perfect…” She smiled, but it looked too feral, too animal. I froze, feeling my heartbeat speed up.
Then she murmured something then kissed my forehead. Then I felt the searing, head pounding pain. I gasped and made a silent scream.
“KARINARA!” The voice boomed within the meadow and I growled slightly against the pain that just amplified. A figure, dressed in a very short, lacy black dress, appeared. She was tall, with the same pale skin and the same black tattoos as Karinara. Her hair was the same length and in the identical French braid, but instead of raven black, it was blonde. And when I say blonde, it was silver-blonde.
She looked at me and her eyes widened. And what I saw in her eyes froze me to the core. Fear…
“Wh-who are you?” I stumbled a bit, feeling the chills race down my spine yet again.
She just smiled sweetly. “I’m Karina, the Goddess of Pura, or Goddess of Light Magic.” She looked at me and sighed, turning to Karinara.
“Twin…why would you do that to her? She is still oh so young.” Karina and Karinara…They’re twins. I realized.
“She was perfect for my Daughter of Chaos. And it is too late…part of my powers lies within her now.”
Karina looked scared, terrified even. Karina turned back to me and sighed. “I’m sorry sweetie, but this is going to hurt.” I started to say something but a scream replaced it. I felt this searing, burning pain within my whole body and I crumpled to the ground, shrieking in pain.
And then, it was all over. I stayed on the ground, whimpering slightly. I felt numb, like all feeling just shut down. Then I felt a hand on my shoulder and next thing I knew, I was standing. I realized I was shaking badly. Karina looked at me, her eyes now a piercing deep sapphire blue.
“I’m sorry, Sasha. It had to be done. But sadly, you now have a big responsibility. You now control Chaos and Pura…our Dark Magic and Light Magic. Be careful,” Karina said carefully, then raised her hand. “Now it is time to go back to your Realm.” Before I said anything, she slashed the air and I felt myself disappear, vaporizing like mist. Then I was brought down to my body, where the rest of the night I had blank dreams.
