"Goodnight, Daddy," said a young girl, closing her eyes and cuddling up to her special pink blanket.

"Goodnight, sweetie," said the girl's father. He bent over and kissed his daughter on her cheek before turning off the light and closing the door behind him.

The father walked downstairs and wasn't surprised to find his wife waiting for him. He smiled before grabbing her hands and kissing them slowly, his eyes never leaving hers.

"How's my gorgeous wife this fine evening?" He asked.

"Perfectly happy," she leaned in and kissed him deeply. "Because you're here with me."

They stayed that way for several minutes, until finally the father pulled back. He tucked his wife's hair behind her ear and kissed her forehead.

"I love you, Eadlyn," he whispered.

"I love you too, Erik," she smiled, laying her head on his chest contentedly.
