"I love you."

Erik's POV
The grass was soft beneath me and the sky was bright blue above me. There was a small breeze blowing through the trees, so it wasn't too hot, either. It was a perfect day.

But what made the day truly wonderful was the fact that Eadlyn was laying beside me, her head resting on my arm. I played with her hair as she pointed out different clouds and told me secrets she'd never tell anyone else. It was a beautiful feeling, this new love we shared.

After laying under the clouds for a few silent moments, I propped my head on my hand so I could look at Eadlyn better. She looked up at me and smiled.

"Eadlyn," I smiled down at her. "I love you."

Eadlyn giggled. "I love you, too."

"Good," I said, leaning down so our faces were inches apart. "Because I've been waiting all day for this."

I closed the distance between us and kissed her contentedly.
