"This sounds bomb, Jake."I said with a smile as I nodded my head to our now finished song.
"I knew it would."Jake said with that bright smile as well.
We were down in the studio, listening to the finished song "Nobody Like You". With what seemed like forever, the song was finally done and I was loving it. It sounded so good and I honestly couldn't stop listening to it. Jake was working on a release date with his team and I just knew this song would have everyone going crazy. That there sparked up so many rumors.
"Yeah, it should be released soon once I talk to my team. They gone love this shit though."Jake said with a smirk as he stopped the track.
"I know I do."I admitted as I texted Gabby back.
It had been weeks since I first met Gabby and we had been talking literally everyday. Whenever we each could got some free time, we was spending it together and I was loving it. Getting to know her was fun for me. She is the most positive, uplifting, brightest person I've ever met. Everything about her is so beautiful and I literally love everything about her. From her energy to her beautiful looks. I love her. It was so easy for us to click. It didn't even feel weird. Everything just flowed so naturally and I loved it. I was finally getting that big sister I've always wanted and it felt amazing.
"You must be talking to Gabby over there."Jake said making me giggle. He knew me too well. Every since I started talking to her I couldn't help to smile whenever we texted or was on the phone. Her spirit just does that for you. It makes you want to smile. The only one out of the crew who had officially met Gabby at the time was Jake. We were out one day and Gabby wanted to link with me. I thought that was perfect cause I had been telling him so much about her and I wanted him to meet her. Those two share some similarities and I just knew they would get along. The moment they met each other they clicked and was chatting it up like they had been friends for years. I knew if he liked her the whole crew would. She's just a lovable person.
"You know she's coming over in a little?"I said with a smile as I sat up on the sofa.
"Really? Have the group met her yet?"Jake asked as he looked over at me.
"Nope, I didn't want to bring her in so soon. You know how crazy it gets around here."I said shaking my head and making Jake laugh. I can't lie, that was part of the reason I didn't bring Gabrielle around so soon. There was always something going on in that house. Arguing, fighting. I didn't want to bring her in on that. I wanted to give myself some time to get to know her before I brought her around them.
"You right on that, but everybody gone love her. She's a sweet, chill girl."Jake admitted making me nod with a smile.
Gabby was honestly a lot like me. Funny, chill and overall amazing. I can tell a little difference between us though. She's a bit more calm than I am. She completely dominates that big sister roll and I fulfill the little sister roll perfectly. I just knew in the future we'd be able to balance each other out.
"Let me go get things ready for her. Make sure to send me the song so I can post it when it drop."I told Jake as I stood from the sofa.
"I got you Dee."He told me as he turned back around to the computer.
I made my way upstairs, immediately hearing the chatter throughout the house. When I say that house was never quiet, I mean never. It wasn't always super loud, but it most definitely was never quiet. That's what you get when you have over 12 young adults in one house. It was always chaotic. Especially when damn near half the house don't like the other half. Chile, it was always a disaster waiting to happen.
