detailed summary
Leia Kar just wants to make it out of the hellhole alive.
It's senior year, and she's ready to kick some 12th grade ass. Cuz after all seniors do kick ass don't they? Or maybe all the SKA banners hidden around the high school away from the APs' sights are a lie. Whatever it is, Leia's ready to take on her final year and have fun with her friends.
One year. Just one school year. Then it's all over. Shouldn't be a biggie right? After all, she did push through the last three years.
Though she may not show it, it feels like her whole life she's been a human pressure cooker. And senior year...? She seriously might blow.
She's done so well coping under all the stress. While the cracks in her rock solid foundation of a soul start to widen, she's kept up at the same rate in concealing them.
Hiding them.
Putting band aids over them.
Out of sight out of mind right? But band aids only go so far. They're temporary. And soon the rate at which her walls come crashing down will outpace her ability to put them back up. Not even Donald Trump could help her build back her walls with the damage that's to come. But maybe an unlikely Quinn Carter can unknowingly show her she really doesn't need those walls around her?
A mere sheet of paper brings the two into each other's life, and it could easily be the best thing that happened to each other in a long time. As Leia understands more of Quinn and his livelihood, she finds herself making more and more space in her already cluttered and batshit crazy life for him.
