(Dean P.O.V)

Around 6 a.m was when I had woken up. It was a lot earlier than I usually wake up. I had already showered and gotten dressed. By the time I finished all that, I had a good hour before 8 o'clock. I was supposed to be meeting up with Nikki in the café, to talk about something. She said it was really important and I couldn't help but wonder what it could be. My thoughts were all over the place. I'm still really tired, I've only gotten about 4 hours of sleep. The curiosity hasn't left my mind since I stopped texting her last night. And when I woke up this morning, the curiosity grew even stronger. I was hoping the time could go by faster, so we could get this talk over and done with. 'Maybe she just wants closure or something' I thought to myself. I shaked my head so I could get out of my thoughts. I just need to focus and wait patiently until then. In the meantime, I need to think of an excuse. I just can't leave the hotel room without letting Paige know. And telling her that I was going to have breakfast with Nikki would be even worse. So, I needed to think of something else.
She was still sound asleep, and I hated to disturb her but I had to let her know where I was going. She looked so peaceful, until I heard her snore a bit. I chuckled as she snored. That's my Paigey for ya! I gently shook her as she still slept and began to move a bit. I seen her reach her hand up to rub her eyes then she looked over at me. She still looked so tired, and looked like she wanted to knock me out for waking her up. "Mm, Dean..what are you doing?..Why'd you wake me up?" She said softly. "I didn't want to wake you up, babe. But I thought I should tell you that I'm going to get us some breakfast. Down at the café." "O-okay. Did you want me to come with you? Since you woke me up.." "No, no." I said quickly answering her question. "I'm already fully dressed and ready to go get it. You stay here in bed, get some rest, and I'll be back as soon as I can." "Okay, bring me some coffee to. You know how I like it." She said as she turned over and closed her eyes. "I'll bring you back some of everything, I promise." I said to her then kissed her cheek. I got up and made my way out of our hotel room. Now that I got that out of the way, my next stop was the café.
I walked onto the elevator and pressed a button that goes down to the café. As the doors to the elevator shut and it started to go down, I became nervous. I had no idea why but I had to pull myself together. I may have been nervous but there was no way in hell that I was going to actually let it show. The elevator came to a stop and the doors had opened back up. I took a deep breath and walked off. I walked into the café and it smelt good in there. I hadn't realized that I was hungry until I smelled the food being cooked. I just grabbed an apple for now though, I'll eat breakfast food later. I looked around and noticed that not many people where in here but I did recognize one familiar face sitting down at the table eating: Nikki. I grabbed my phone and checked the time. It was 7:56, so I was on time. I put my phone back into my pocket and sighed as I walked over there to her. "Hey" I said as I finally made it to the table. "Good morning. Have a seat." She said to me and I did just that. I raised my eyebrow as I looked at some of the things she chose to eat. "Weird combination, Nicole. Who puts peanut butter on their pancakes?" I said to her. "I don't normally do it, but I just had this urge to eat it. It's actually really tasty, wanna try some?" She said with a smile. "No thanks, I'll pass." I said and took a bite of my apple. She too a sip of her orange juice then looked at me. "Orange juice? No coffee? Okay, where's Nikki and what have you done with her?!" I joked with her and she smiled. "I'm the real Nikki, I swear! I just, didn't feel like having coffee this morning." "You usually have it almost every morning, that's why I asked." I said. "Well, I won't be having any coffee anytime soon...So, how've you been?" She asked me, changing the same. "I've been pretty good lately. Still the champion. Still a lunatic. Same old. How've you been? I don't see you around much anymore." I asked her. "Oh, I've been doing just fine. Just gonna be taking a long break from work." She said as little quietly. "Why's that? You requested some time off?" "No, I didn't request it. It's sort of a must. I have to take time off." Nikki said. I had no idea why she was taking time off. I hoped she was injured or anything. "Nicole, are you sure you're okay? You're not injured, are you?" I said in the most concerned way possible. I was actually concerned about her now. Maybe that's the important thing she needs to talk to me about. "No, no, no. I'm not injured, Dean. Everything about me is just fine." Nikki said. She looked fine, just like she said. She always does look fine to me, beautiful even. And I hadn't realized it yet, but she looks stunning right now. Something about her was different. It looked almost as if she was...glowing. But let me get back to reality, and figure out what's going on. "Then why is it that you HAVE to take time off of work?" I asked and she put her head down, letting out a soft sigh. "Nicole...what's wrong? Is everything okay?" "Dean, I've been meaning to tell you this for a while now. I just didn't know how to tell you..." She said softly. I said I wouldn't let my nervousness show but in this moment, I couldn't hide it. I was nervous now more than ever and I could tell that it was showing.
"I-I'm...pregnant.." She said and my heart started to race. I heard her correctly, I understood what she said clearly, but I was lost for words. My eyes were wide and whenever I tried to say something, all that came out was a question. "What?" Was all I could say. Nikki was pregant. I wouldn't dare ask her who the Dad was because I knew for sure that it was me. I'm the only one that she has slept with. I wanted to faint because I was not ready to hear those words. I sat there, clueless for words. My whole life was about to change.
