"NEXT " Leo shouts as the person walks off the stage signing in annoyance, the flyers we have handed out worked but we was on the tenth person and no luck so far "this is gonna take a while" I said "yeah it's lucky we picked to do this on a Saturday" We picked to do it the day after the panic concert as it would still be fresh in peoples minds and lucky I managed to bribe the person in charge of the town hall let us rent it for the day for only like 50£ as well no one ever used the town hall, me and Leo had been here seeing people from 8 am it was currently 1 pm and we have 3 more hours left, we was getting desperate. Just then a girl with short green hair a lip piercing and wearing a black skater dress came on the stage, Leo sighed thinking the worst "hi I'm link yeah I no my dad was a big gammer" she said with a smirk,I'm guessing she gets questioned about her name a lot "so what can you play" I said curious "the question is what can't I play" she replied back opening a case she pulled out a bass guitar "but I prefer bass" she said smiling Leo raised a eyebrow interested "what music are you into and why do you want to join this band" I asked this was the important question everyone failed people saying there just joining for fun, me and Leo knew this was going to be hard work if we wanted to get somewhere and we did also people replying fame always was rejected the reason we are doing this is to release music that inspires people and helps people like our idols help us. And we needed people into the same music so they could have the same vision as us it was clear form the start people wanting to be pop stars will be a bad mix.
Link setting up her bass replied smugly and in a laid back tone "that's easy I want to be heard I want to inspire people and especially show other girls out there to chase there dreams if they wanna be a bass player" she said me and Leo looked at each other and smiled finally finding someone on board "well let's see what you got" Leo said "oh by the way I'm into alternative music btw as well as other genres I'm genre denying" she said again smugly standing up she then began to play bass for the newest paramore song hard times doing little dance moves and moves with her bass that was very unique she definitely shined on stage and was full of this cool i don't give a fuck attitude which I hope would inspire me in life in general.
After link finished the song she did a bow as we clapped me and Leo turned and whispered to each other as link sat down on the stage kicking her feet as they didn't reach the floor "Leo she's amazing I love her vibe" Leo smiled and agreed. We turned back to face her and I smiled at her "congrats welcome to the band" she smiled jumping down coming to hug us both "yay" she said we all laughed at her yay it was adorable seeing someone with a laid back attitude getting excited. "So what's the band name" link said as she pulled up a chair to help us judge the next person but we decided to have a break for lunch before the next one "no idea" Leo said taking a bite out of the sandwich he was eating "we litterally can't think of anything" I said sighing.link nodded thinking in her head suddenly Leo's mouth stopped chewing his food and he stood up clapping his hands together he opened his mouth to talk but released he had food in his mouth so shallowed I laughed at his cute behaviour again just being so whipped for this dude I thought in my head "how about something like the unknown" we looked around at each other for a while "it's good but I don't think it's all there" link said pulling Leo down to sit back down suddenly I thought of something me and Leo was both kinda rejects to society and I had a feeling link was two the feeling of being unliked and unwanted in society the idea of using something like that as our band name seemed kinda funny and I giggled as I came up with the perfect name "obscurity" I said out loud link looked at me and nodded agreeing and Leo did a goofy grin ear to ear as he said "that's genius" getting up to hug me "your genius" he whispered in my ear as he held on to me for a bit to long link coughed breaking us a part looking from me to Leo we both blushed and Leo replied "I'm going to let the next person come in" he said quickly walking out the halls door into the main entrance. I sat facing the stage and link joined me "so" she said wiggling her eyebrows before carrying on "you two fucking" she said smiling I went bright red and loudly replied "w-what no of course not" laughing at her response realising how obvious was I liked him she eyed me suspiciously I sighed "fine I like him but I don't know I don't wanna ruin this" I said she laughed and said "I knew it!" She opened her mouth I'm sure to give advice but before she could continue Leo walked in with a tall red headed boy behind him he was wearing a black t shirt with a green plaid shirt over the top and black jean shorts with drum sticks in his pocket, he walked onto the stage tripping over the top step onto the stage he blushed as he walked over to the drum set again tripping as he went "what a cute clutz" link whispered to me I looked up to see her eyeing him up with amusement on her face. "Hi I'm yuki" he said in a strong accent it was only then I released he must of been half Asian as he had tan skin and dark brown eyes his red hair must of been from the parent with western genertics he was very beautiful and unique but I found my eyes wondering back to see Leo taking a seat the other side of me as he asked yuki a question "why do you want to join this band and what kinda music are you into" yuki shyly smiled it's clear he was nervous "w-well I'm into jrock I know it's Japanese but the same elements of western rock are there" he said looking down as if ashamed I smiled I loved jrock "music is language it's self don't be ashamed of jrock it's great" I said he looked at me and smiled relaxing, I felt a similar feeling of being shamed to like music my whole life I remember when I showed my old friends my music and then said it was gross and hurt there ears then the bullying began "a-and I want to join this band to get my confidence up I think people hearing me play will do that I also want to get to know more friends and people here I moved from japan" yuki's soft spoken voice broke me out of my thoughts "okay then let's see what you got" link said clapping her hands together and replying in a flirty tone I laughed to myself seeing her hit on this soft boi is going to be amazing only if his into it tho He begin a strong drumming solo which I heard on a old one okay rock before I tapped my foot along Leo bobbed his head yuki turned one drumstick in his hand and starting going faster and faster while still maintaining a rhythm and tune he hit the last beat and put his sticks up into the air signalling he was done me Leo and link burst into applause. His stage presence shined on stage in life he was this quiet clumsy boy that was new to the city life but on stage he was this confident loud drummer with this bright personality he got up and bowed before coming down the stairs again tripping over the last step link giggled. "So" link said as we all lean into each other to whisper "I love him" me and Leo both said at the same time I blushed as link replied "same" winking to no one "oh we know" I said raising a eyebrow "what if I like someone I make it known " link replied this time winking at me i nudged her playful Leo looked form me to link confusion on his face "okay so his in?" Me and link both nodded and Leo clapped his hands together and walked over to yuki putting one hand on his shoulder "congrats your in" yuki gasped in shock "really? Me?" He said pointing at himself we all laughed and nodded.
It was past the auditions now we was all at a pizza shop not far from the hall just talking getting to know each other laughing and joking it felt so nice to have friends yuki and link both was a year older then us so was in collage they lived in the same town so band practice would be a lot easier finding somewhere to practice tho that's a issue we still have to fix "so what's the band name" yuki said looking at us while eatting a slice of pizza. Leo me and link said in union "obscurity"
