For the rest of the week Lana and Tyler were the talk of the school. Rumors went around that people saw them making out on the principal's desk and various other places in the school. Josh would hear about them and tried his best not to let it get to his head. He knows that's what Blurry wants, no way would he let that monster win.

Whenever Tyler and Josh would have a run in it ends with them getting in a fight. It was usually verbal and not in front of people. Then when it was in front of people no one payed them much mind. It wasn't like they were yelling, just banter. Kinda like what Tyler and Lana did before, except both sides were flirtatious. Josh wanted to punch him, while Tyler had that hint of flirting.

This just made Josh stay up later each night trying to find out how to help him. At points he would lose hope but then the thought of Tyler being forced to be such a jackass for the rests of his life gave him strength.

One night it occurred to Josh that Blurry might already be making steps forward. Josh stood up and started pacing the room, "From what I know from the books and what Tyler told me, the demon is most likely gonna wanna take everything away from Tyler. He is gonna want to make him feel like he has no choice...But what could Tyler possibly have that he values. Sure there is killing or hurting his loved ones but if Blurryface wanted to do that he would have done it already, right? From what I picked up, if he makes Tyler loose all his hope and feel totally lifeless then the demon gets full control over the body for good. So if he was gonna do that then he would have-." He cut himself off, he knew what Blurry could do to Tyler. "Oh no...That's why he has been hanging around Lana..a-and if those rumors are true he was just trying to build up to this the whole time..."

His family didn't notice anything different though, not even his mom. Blurryface made sure he kept Tyler's mannerisms with his family perfect so none of them started to have questions.

At school, Josh knew what he had to do even though he didn't like it very much. He was gonna have to talk to Lana one on one, just him and her. Which he can only guess will be really, really, really awkward. All day he lowkey kept an eye on her. After school he followed her into the library. Josh was half expecting Tyler to be in there waiting for her, but there was no Tyler. Josh was completely confused, what would she be doing in the library? Sure most likely returning a book or picking one up but...that didn't seem likely.

She greeted the librarian who gave her a sweet smile. They talked a bit, Josh watched from behind a book shelf. Lana grabbed one of those things that librarians push around while putting books back. She headed straight toward Josh which made him mentally freak out. While he was busy trying to look like he was trying to find a book she said, "Is there a reason you are stalking me?" Josh looked at her with an shy smile, "Oh...yeah.." She raised an eyebrow while a small innocent smile appeared on her face, "You aren't even gonna deny it? I was joking, Joshua." Josh mouthed 'Joshua' as if he was trying to process that she actually called him that.

"So?"

"So? Oh yeah okay, so, uh, this is an awkward questions.."

"Try me."

"Okay, wow, um... You and Tyler didn't...you know.."

"Have sex?" she answer with a small laugh.

"Yeah, it's just..you know, um, oh God I sound like a creep.."

"Actually we haven't. And I understand where you are coming from. He really did a good job on leading you on. Kinda sucks but you'll get over it, we all do."

"Yeah well he told me he wants to wait till marriage...so I just wanted to make sure you aren't pressuring him. Wait, I mean like I'm not calling you a rapist just," he put his hand on his face, trying to regain concentration.

"I got it," Lana said while patting Josh on the back, "You are just watching out for someone you care about. I take no offense, promise."

He nodded then quickly ran off before he could embarrass himself anymore. Lana watched him walk away with an uneasy feeling in her stomach. 'Something isn't right around here,' she thought while putting books up, 'And I can't wait to find out what happens next.'

The weekend finally came around and Tyler was with Lana making out on his bed. They broke for a moment to take a breath, Tyler took that opportunity to try and take off his pants. "Wait," she whispered in a concerned voice.

"Hm?"

"I thought..you didn't want to.."

"What? No, that was just the other day..because that fag was over earlier and it just felt weird. I'm fine now, though."

"Well," she put her hand on his chest and pushed him back a bit, "Also, Josh kinda told me you were waiting till marriage." Lana pushed him up so she could sit up. He started to laugh out of announce, "You're kidding, right?" She shook her head while getting up from the bed. Tyler grabbed her arm and pulled her back, "Oh come on." She pulled back instantly, "Well even if it isn't true the mood is gone. And somehow so are you."

He rolled his eyes while leaning forward, "What is that suppose to mean?"

"You use to be this beautiful mystery. This man who looked scared but hid behind a mask of confidence. Someone who was forced to be feared even though he tried his best not to be. But now," she looked him up and down, "you are just another douchebag who thinks he's better than everyone."

And with that Lana left Tyler alone, knowing exactly who to blame and how to pay him back for the favor.
