It only took a few seconds after ringing the doorbell for Lana to answer. The whole room was filled with all the people Josh expected. Sitting on the couch were some of the most popular kids in school; Marina Diamandis, Melanie Martinez, Abęl Tesfaye, and Ella Yelich-O'Connor. That was all Josh noticed before trying to avert his eyes from the group. He knew if he really noticed who else was there there was no way he would be able to go on for the rest of the night.

It was obvious the group had already started smoking. When they sat down, Tyler was the first of the two to take a hit. Well, it was actually more Blurry than Tyler. Eventually the two of them were relaxed in deep thought.

Josh and Melanie went off on a discussion on how strange it must of been when dying hair was a new thing. "I mean," Melanie went on, "I can't really remember the first time I saw someone with colored hair but...I'm sure my mind was blown." Melanie leaned over and twirled a finger in Josh's hair, "We should get the same color next time. We could match then make people wonder if we meant to do it or not." Josh stared at her before laughing and agreeing. It must have sounded like a stupid conversation to anyone who was eavesdropping but to Melanie and Josh it was revolutionary. Meanwhile Tyler and Lana were having a conversation of their own.

"So, like, why do you go by a fake name?...wait don't tell me you are actually like some undercover cop or something..I'm gonna be so pissed if I get arrested for smoking pot from the girl who gave it to me."

"...haha..nah....It's a rather long story but bottom line is, I didn't like Lizzy Grant. So I had to kill her. But I always believed in second chances, even for myself."

"So you changed your name to 'Lana del Rey'? And that was it?"

"No, I had to do a lot of changes in my personality and looks as well. Hell, I've been playing this roll for so long I don't even remember who Lizzy Grant even was."

Tyler just stared at her. She was such a unique creation who no one could get close to even if they tried. Not because she pushes people away either, because there was no person to connect with. At this point, Lana del Rey was just a shell of what she so desperately wanted to be.

A few minutes later someone ask if they could set up a fire in the backward. They all agreed on how they wanted to see the flames dance around. Tyler would usually see how this was a strange excuse. However this wasn't the usual Tyler, at the moment this seemed like the best idea he has ever heard. Josh on the other hand was coming down and could see sitting by a fire in 90 degree heat didn't seem like the best idea. He asked Tyler if they could just hang back in the house. Tyler agreed even though he was a little disappointed.

The two sat there talking about random things when Tyler randomly said, "Wow this shit effects him too." He was staring at Blurry who was just floating in the air mumbling stuff along the lines of, "Go kill yourself, Tyler." Josh squinted his eyes at where Tyler was looking, trying to see what he was seeing. Josh thought it might have been a side effect from the weed but that was quickly shot down sense people don't hallucinate when smoking pot.

"What are you talking about, dude?"

"Blurryface. He's right there."

"You mean your imaginary friend from when you were a child?"

"What? No, he is right there. That is a load of BS... Him being an imaginary friend and all."

"Wait...Tyler, do you actually see someone in this room other than me and you?"

"Oh shit...I never explained it to you outside my own head, did I?"

"Can't say you did, whatever it is."

"Well, turns out that imagery friend you and my mom were joking about the other night is actually very, very, very real."

"Tyler, you're scaring me.."

"Wait, no! I'm not crazy or anything! ...How do I explain.. Ok so there is this thing that follows me around and is the literal embodiment of all my doubt and insecurities...Oh wait that does sound crazy."

"No, no....I, uh, understand what you mean, man. My grandma use to be really into spirits and stuff...so I think what you have on your hands isn't just something you were born with. There was most likely an unhappy ghost who saw you as a child and saw all your potential. The spirit got jealous and made it it's after life goal to ruin you life. Every time you get down on yourself and the less you are happy the more it feels better about itself ."

"Whoa....wow. That is...a lot to take in."

Josh's explanation gained all of Blurry's attention. 'How dare he' Blurry thought while folding his arms. He thought about how he was gonna enough beating the life out of Josh even more now. 'He has no place to explain me to Ty. I am suppose to be this all powerful God who he should feel blessed to have ruin his life.'

"So like...how do I get rid of it?" Tyler finally asked with low confidence. He expected Josh to say something like 'there is no way' because all this time that's what blurry had been telling him. "Well I'm not sure off the top of my head," Josh saw Tyler loose all hope in his eyes that only appears just a minute ago so he quickly added, "But I can look through my grandma's books once I can! Don't worry Tyler, we'll figure this out together."

Tyler smiled as if a huge weight has been lifted off of his shoulders. Just in time all the other guest came back in from outside.

When they were getting ready to leave Tyler felt something he never did before, hope. When he hugged Lana goodbye she went in for a kiss and just like always she got what she wanted. Tyler kissed her back and after she leaned into his ear and whispered, "Just for the rumors, babe." Blurry quickly said, "We can always make it not just for show. What'd you say? You and me after school. We can go back to my house one day" She smirked and whispered back, "What about Joshy?" Tyler shrugged, "He can come too."

Little did Lana know, but Blurry was fully aware of the fact Josh was lowkey listening in on their conversation. Tyler turned his head toward Josh before saying, "What do you say, Joshy? Sound like a plan?" Josh's face turned bright red so he just left the house without even waiting for Tyler. He pulled away from Lana with a sheepish smile, "I-I should follow him. Uh, see you around!"

He quickly got out the house as fast as he should without running. In the car Josh was trying to cover his fully red face. Tyler sat down and sat in silence for a while before even starting the car.

"I'm so sorry. I-"

"It was Blurryface, right? That was him, wasn't it?"

"Yeah, yeah it was."

"It's okay.Don't worry about it then."

Tyler couldn't help but smile to himself. Josh was the first to ever take Blurryface seriously besides himself. To be honest, it felt fantastic to not feel as though you have lost your mind.

"Thanks."
