Oh, Vienna

The other girl's voice sent shivers down her spine and she felt like she could listen to her saying her name again and again, like a song stuck on replay. But she controlled herself and promised that she wouldn't do anything stupid.

-Ruby, hi.

-How are you?

-I'm fine, thanks. You?

-A bit tired and a bit bored. What are you doing here all alone?

-Smoking. - she slightly raised the pack of Marlboros and laughed nervously. - Want one?

-Sure. - the brunette gladly accepted one cigarette.

-You were great up there, you know? I never knew you were a DJ.

-Yeah, it's kind of a passion. Music is something that can heal people and I want to bring people some good music they can listen to and just... Get wild, you know? - she giggled.

-Her giggle is adorable. But she is a stuck up bitch.

-What about you? What do you do in your free time?

-Me? I'm just a boring skater who spends her time on Tumblr, the tattoo parlor and the skate park. Nothing much.

Ruby laughed at her response which made the other girl relax a bit. And shiver.

-You cold? - Ruby must've noticed.

-I left my jacket in there.

-Here. - Ruby took off her jacket and put it over Vienna's shoulders.

-But you'll get cold.

-Don't worry about me. Hey, wanna go for a walk... Maybe?

-But Rene doesn't know I'm going to-

-Oh screw Rene. You'll tell her later unless she's having such a great time she even forgot about you. But who's the other girl?

-What?

-The other girl. Tiny figure; short, green hair, blur shirt?

-She is,um... A friend.

-Oh. - idiot, why did you have to ask her that. - Okay.

-Why?

-No reason.

They were walking for what felt like hours and really got to know each other. Ruby found out Vienna was in college, that she liked books, poetry, blogging and cats. She even invited her over some time so she could show her her cat. Vienna found out Ruby always wanted to be a model and a DJ. She had lots of tattoos, just like her. But she never got the chance to check them out since it was dark outside. Ruby wanted to see Vienna's tattoos too but she was wearing her jacket. She was wearing her jacket. And it fitted her perfectly.

-This is where I live. - spoke Ruby.

They were standing in front of a huge house, not really a mansion but enough for a lot of people to stay. Vienna liked the exterior but she wondered what was it like inside.

-I would invite you to come in but it's late and it's a mess.

-Oh, thanks, but I really couldn't... - Ruby raised an eyebrow and smirked on the response Vienna gave her. - I mean, I would love to, but as you said, it's already late and you probably want to sleep and my parents... Okay, I'll stop ranting.

Ruby giggled once again and Vienna felt her heart melt.

-Stop it, she's not the one for you. This is wrong.

-I'll see you around.

-Yeah.

Ruby got closer to the girl, slowly approached her and pulled her long hair from under the jacket. Vienna's skin once again shivered and felt like it was burning under her touch. She felt Ruby's warm breath on her neck. Her hands sliding down her arms. She gave her a seductive look even though she knew she looked like a lamb in front of the hungry lion. Her legs were betraying her. Ruby bit her lip then looked at Vienna's dark eyes, then her lips, then her eyes again. She painfully slowly leaned in and Vienna closed her eyes, expecting the big fireworks in her stomach to explode, the feeling of full, soft lips on hers, but then, almost as if she was trying to play with the girl, Ruby moved her face a bit and kissed Vienna on the cheek. Vienna's eyes opened wide and her cheeks flushed out of embarrassment. Ruby was wearing a satisfied smirk on her face and started walking backwards towards her house so she could look at the embarrassed and surprised girl for a bit longer.

-Oh, Vienna. - was all she could say before she vanished behind the closed door.

Vienna was standing in the same place for a few more moments and then she angrily stomped back to her house which was only a few blocks away. She cursed herself for falling for her tricks and was truly embarrassed of the way she behaved. The only scene that was playing in her head was how Ruby was surely laughing at her behind her back and calling her a naive loser in front of her friends. She took the keys out of her purse, unlocked the door and entered the dark, empty hallway. Her parents were asleep upstairs.

- Good. Less explaining to do.

She quickly but quietly ran upstairs to her room and texted Rene that she was home safely and lied that an old friend drove her home so they could catch up. She was sitting on the bed, looking through the window at the pale moonlight that was constantly hidden by dark clouds then illuminating the dark sky whenever the clouds would reveal it. Then she raised the collars of the jacket she got and smelled the sweet scent of the perfume it's owner was wearing before she gave it to her. And she smiled. No, she laughed hysterically at her silliness and her naive nature and was hoping Ruby was doing that, too, without any thoughts of judgement. She laid down on her bed and closed her sleepy eyes and soon dozed off with her mind full of a tattooed brunette and her perfume.

On the other hand, in another home, not so far away, a brunette girl was fighting with her insomnia by sitting on the edge of the bed she shared with her girlfriend and stroking a silver necklace she took from a confused and sweet girl while she was pulling her hair from under the jacket she borrowed to her. And all she could think was... Vienna, Vienna. This means nothing to me. Oh, Vienna.
