... And I'm always tired but never of you...

When Ruby opened her still sleepy and puffy eyes, she quickly turned around in her bed to see if Vienna was still asleep on the bed. She got disappointed and slightly confused by the sight of an empty bed and tidy room, as she knew she didn't leave it that way before she drifted off to sleep. She got up from the bed and made her way downstairs, to check out if Vienna left or if she was still somewhere in the house. She looked around and saw that all of the broken pieces of glass and porcelain were gone, the clothes were neatly folded and sorted in one place, floors were squeaky clean and there was a nice smell of food coming from the kitchen, which made her stomach growl from hunger. She made her way towards the kitchen and saw Vienna by the oven, cooking pancakes and eggs with bacon in two different skillets. Vienna was a little startled by the sudden sight of Ruby standing at the doorway with a smirk on her face, but she just wished her good morning and continued with what she was doing.

-Good morning to you, too. How'd you sleep?

-It was okay, I guess. Although my neck hurts a bit from sleeping in a sitting position.

-I'm sorry to hear that. By the way, that smells nice.

-I made you some English breakfast with pancakes, orange juice and you had no syrup for the pancakes so I had to go buy it.

-Wow. Okay, thanks. That's really sweet. - Ruby was genuinely surprised.

-How are you feeling?

-Ugh, don't ask. I just wish I could turn back time.

-So you could tell Phoebe you're sorry and that you want her back?

-No, so I could slap that bitch and tell her it wasn't my fault at all. - the pair laughed at the sudden silly outburst of the brunette.

-Oh, okay. - Vienna giggled. - I think this is done. - she flipped the last pancake and served breakfast to her friend, if she could call her that, who was sitting opposite of her.

-You're not staying for breakfast? - disappointment was evident in Ruby's voice.

-I can't, I have to go. I promised I'd stay the night and I did but now I have some other things.

-Oh. Okay. - Ruby stood up and slowly approached Vienna, and the scenes from the other night replayed. She was gently stroking her hair while examining her face, aspect by aspect, leaning in a millimeter every moment, deadly close to Vienna's cold lips, but the other girl gently pushed her and pulled away, turning around to gather her belongings.

-Hey. - Ruby grabbed her arm which made the girl twitch. - Thanks, yeah?

The other girl simply nodded and left the house in such a hurry that she even forgot to pick up her hat which was still on the other girl's bedroom floor. Ruby just smirked again and stood in he hallway of the now empty house and wondered how could she ever get used to being alone now that Phoebe was gone.

-Vienna where were you?! I was calling you the whole morning! - Rene practically screamed on her best friend.

-I'm sorry, my phone was on silent.

-What happened last night?

Vienna plopped on her best friend's bed and started explaining herself and her weird behavior.

-Do you know a girl by the name of Ruby Rose?

-Sounds familiar. Probably.

-Short, brown hair. Tall, beautiful, lives down the street?

-Oh, I know! That's the hot tattooed chick everybody's talking about. She's a DJ or something.

-Yeah. Well, you see, we sort of started hanging out now and... I was at her place last night. - she bit her lip to prevent herself from saying more.

-No way! You were at Ruby's? - the other girl was more excited than she was. - What were you doing there?

-Well she invited me for coffee. - she felt bad for lying but what could she do. - And we talked for quite a while so it got late and I slept over at her house. Nothing much.

-Oh, Okay. She is really hot.

-Well, I didn't know you looked at women in that way.

-What do you mean?

-I know, Rene. I know everything.

The blonde lowered her head. - Hayley told you?

-She did. And I'm disappointed you didn't tell me that. We're supposed to be friends!

-We are! I just panicked. How could I tell you that?

-How about "Hey Vienna, you know, I'm lesbian and I like girls. I hope you understand". It's as simple as that, you know I would never judge you.

-I'm sorry, okay? I really am.

-How long have you been together?

-Hayley and me? A few months actually.

-A few months?! She told me you recently met!

-I told her to say that. Sorry.

-Do your parents know?

-No, and I don't want them to. They would tear me apart.

-I understand. Your secret is safe with me.

-Thanks, Vienna. - the girls hugged and felt a bit closer than they were before because one more wall was torn down and there was less space for secrets between them.

Almost.
