*Love this song, this remix and love her. She is literally perfect.*
The sound of a platter being placed on the small table next to her and the blinding sun woke her up from her sleep. She had another nightmare, but this time it was okay. It wasn't as bad as the ones before. The first thing she saw after opening her eyes was her father's worried, wrinkled face. He didn't say a word, just put down her coffee and breakfast and returned into the house without locking the door. Sometimes all of this was exhausting for both sides, but unfortunately pride was the only thing stopping them from getting back to normal.
Vienna lost her appetite. This wasn't it, she didn't want to eat breakfast if it wasn't inside with her family. She pushed away the platter, the cup filled with hot liquid and the plate that held eggs and bacon were splattered all over the floor. The girl stomped to the kitchen where her father was sitting at the table, reading newspapers and her mother was washing the dishes. They both looked at Vienna at the same time with confused and curious looks.
-I already lost my brother and I'm not planning on losing the rest of my family, too. I know I make mistakes, I'm not perfect, but neither are you. I am still learning. But it pains me to live with the fact that my own parents can't accept the fact that I'm a grown woman who can make her own decisions. I love my body and I enjoy decorating it. My body is my home, and I can decorate my home just as I like. These are the pictures hung on my walls, these tattoos right here. Each represents something. All of this has a meaning. Things would be different if Abel was still alive. - she whispered the last sentence. Abel was her older brother.
-Don't you dare talk about Abel! - her mother let out a horrifying scream that could make your veins freeze. She started crying and shaking, her husband quickly approached her and calmed her down.
-Vienna, do what you want. Go where you want. Wear what you want and how you want. We are giving up on you. - those words will sting forever. The worst thing a parent could say to his child.
-Are you sure?
-We're sure. You're free, but whatever happens, you take full responsibility.
-Okay. I'm sorry for letting you down. - she bit her lip and walked upstairs to call Rene.
She plopped on the bed and grabbed her iPhone 6, then dialed her best friend.
-Hello? - the voice from the other side of the phone said.
-Hey, Rene. It's me.
-I know. Why are you calling so early? Did something happen?
-Well, not really.
-Oh, okay, BECAUSE I THINK I STRICTLY TOLD YOU NOT TO WAKE ME UP BEFORE NOON.
-Oh shut up. What are our plans for today?
-Well, there's a big party tonight. A club opening and the booze is free. You in?
-Dope. Sure, what time are you picking me up?
-Eleven- ish?
-Make it half past ten. Gotta go now, see ya tonight.
-Cool. Bye.
Vienna once again changed her clothes and headed to the skate park to take her mind off things for a while. She grabbed her skateboard from the hallway floor where she left it the day before and arrived at her favorite place in a matter of minutes. There were a few other skaters doing their own things so she took the only empty ramp she could find. It was small but enough for her. The thought of Ruby was killing her. She was wondering where she was and she would never admit that she probably, deep inside knew that she came here just to see her. Her hopes were crushed after she realized that she wasn't coming, not even after she waited for full three hours.
