She jumped off her bed so sudden that she immediately felt dizzy. She was soaking wet from sweating all night and she could barely catch her breath. She tried to remember what happened but the only images in her head were Ruby Rose's face. She glanced at the clock at her bedside and 03:04 A.M. was written on it. She slowly got up after she calmed down and went downstairs to get a glass of water. She leaned onto the sink, head suddenly pounding, so she grabbed an Advil from the kitchen cabinet and sat down on the nearest chair. What happened between her and Ruby was still an unsolved mystery, most of it was a blurry memory, but somehow she found herself deep in thoughts about the whole situation.
Then a deep voice startled her.
-Vienna? What are you doing up so late? - her eyes widened in shock and she started shaking like she had an attack. She thought she was seeing a ghost or that she was completely out of her mind.
-Dad! What... What is happening? You're alive. - she said like she was reassuring herself.
Her dad rolled his eyes. - Of course I'm alive, Vienna. You probably had another bad dream. - he hugged her and she hugged him back. Now that she felt his touch, she was sure he wasn't a ghost.
She wanted to tell him that it wasn't such a bad dream. That she dreamt about the most beautiful pair of blue- green eyes in the world, most soft lips, most wonderful voice, most caring and wonderful, but broken person. But she couldn't because she still wasn't sure of what was real and what wasn't. She wanted to tell him that she fucked up and that her heart was broken but no words came out. Instead she just snuggled closer into her dad's chest.
-What's all that noise? Vienna, Anthony, what's happening? - her confused mother came downstairs, tying her nightgown's silky overlay around her body.
-Mom! - Vienna ran towards her and hugged her, too. The mother gave her husband a confused and shocked look while he responded with:
-She had a bad dream again. It's okay.
-But mom, what about Ruby? - Vienna asked.
-Who's Ruby? - her mother had no idea what the girl was talking about.
-Y-You know. Ruby- Ruby Rose. We talked about her... - she was hoping the mention of her name would boost Margot's memories but she made the woman even more confused.
-I have no idea who's that. You dreamt it all, honey, go to bed. You're just tired. - she sent her sad and confused daughter back to bed, but the girl didn't sleep at all. Instead she sat by her window, watching little droplets of rain smudge the glass on it. She was still processing the whole story, trying to divide what's real and what's not. How couldn't her mother remember some things when she remembered almost everything? At 6 A.M. she finally decided to go downstairs and make herself some coffee, but on her way to the kitchen she stopped by her brother room's door. She turned the knob but the door couldn't open. She tried once again, but it was the same outcome. That's how she knew nobody was inside, since her brother never locked his room.
-Why didn't it bring you back? - Vienna whispered against the door. - Why aren't you here, too?

Vienna was sitting by her window again, now writing something into her notebook, actually, she was drawing, as she loved doing that, too. She caught herself unconsciously drawing those big eyes, thick eyebrows above them and long, tattooed arms. The day got better and the sun was now shining, only a few clouds passing by, even though it was still pretty cold.
