-It's a nice day, don't you think? - despite the previous happenings and the intimacy they were having, Vienna avoided grabbing Ruby's hand while they walked, even though she wanted to feel her touch so bad.

There was something masochistic in the tattooed girl, she loved feeling the pain in love but she also didn't want to get broken. She knew pain was a part of love, it came in the package. So she tortured the other girl, but herself too. She could burn with desire, guilt, love, but she would never do what the other girl expected her to. Pride? Or just the sick feeling of avoiding falling in love?

-What are you talking about? It's going to rain any minute and we will get soaking wet.

-I love the rain. - Vienna looked up at the sky and watched the silver clouds traveling on the sky. She had that weird shine in her eyes that Ruby couldn't ignore. It brought a smile on her face, too, she was mesmerized by this girl just as much as she was with the sky.

-Yeah, actually, it is beautiful. - Ruby looked up at the sky, too. - I would say just like you, but that would be cliche.

Vienna giggled. - It would, really.

-Wanna grab some coffee? - Ruby suggested.

-Starbucks?

-I was thinking Costa but Starbucks is okay, too. - she tried grabbing the other girl's hand again but failed as Vienna acted like she was trying to adjust her purse which was "too heavy for her shoulder", then put the umbrella she was carrying in the hand closer to Ruby.

Ruby felt disappointed and hurt, even though she didn't want to admit it. She wanted to be close to Vienna, she wanted to feel that wild love but the only thing she was getting from her was material. And sex. She didn't need only sex, she really hoped Vienna felt the same way about her and wanted something more than some fun in bed.

Ruby was catching feelings.

And she couldn't stop them.

Love.

Falling.

Love.

Feelings.

Love.

Love.

Love.

Vienna's phone couldn't stop ringing and it was slightly getting on the other girl's nerves. She surmised it was George, but she couldn't see the caller ID since Vienna had faster hands and ignored the calls faster than lightning which could be heard from the outside.

The Australian sighed in clear annoyance. - Who is that?

Vienna raised an eyebrow. - Excuse me?

-Who's calling you so damn much and why are you ignoring the calls? Just pick it up!

-I don't want to, I want to spend more time with you and off my phone.

-That's nice and all but maybe it's an emergency, pick it up.

-I don't want to.

-Vienna!

-What?! I said I don't want to, I'll just turn it off and-

Just as she grabbed her phone, Ruby snatched it out of her hands and another call came just in time.

-Ruby give me my phone back! - the other girl tried to get her phone back but forgot that Ruby was much stronger than her.

-George again?! I thought I told that sucker to piss off! - then she realized what she said. - Oh oh.

-What?! Ruby I can't believe it! You went through my phone and answered the calls?! - she was absolutely horrified and angry.

-What was I supposed to do, you were in the shower?!

-Um... Leave it on the bed and then tell me it was ringing?

-You're making a big deal of it-

-No, Ruby, I am not! How would you feel if I went through your phone and answered the calls you get?

-Why was he calling you?! You were with me, you dumped him! It's not easy to figure...

-You know what? I don't need this. Plus, I'm gonna be late for work. Bye Ruby. - she picked up her things then walked out the door of the small glass cafe.

Ruby was watching her from inside but her feet couldn't move so she could run after her.

Love is really hard.

A few weeks passed and Ruby didn't call nor text, but neither did Vienna. She continued working at the flower shop while Ruby was making samples for her DJ- ing gigs. They avoided each other in the neighbourhood and Vienna always had her curtains pulled over the window so she couldn't see what the Aussie was doing.

It was Saturday and her day off work so she decided to grab her skateboard again, for the old times and head to the skate park.

She had her fingers crossed to not see Ruby.

She sighed of relief when she realized Ruby wasn't there, just a bunch of teenagers messing around a bit further than where she was. An hour passed and she decided to take a break until a voice coming from above her startled her.

-You're still as good as you were the first time. - Ruby was sitting on the rails.

-Thanks. - Vienna lowered her head, avoiding Ruby's gaze. Then she realized... - Wait, what?!

-I've seen you skate a few years ago. I was passing by this neighbourhood. Then I saw you. You were just a beginner, wearing a helmet and knee protectors. You looked hilarious with all those protections and helmets and carefulness, but that passion in those eyes, that drive that made you succeed. That will... It made me shiver.

Vienna blushed a bit but tried hiding her face.

-I still want you. -Ruby admitted. - And I'm sorry.

-We can't be together, Ruby.

-Why not?

-I don't know if I can do this. The paps, the fans, the you going away for months things... I'm just not ready.

Ruby nodded.- I understand. But if you ever change your mind... I'm there. Literally, we're 10 meters apart. - then they both giggled.

-Thanks, Rubs.
