That dark and cold cloudy night, Tenjin was sitting behind his office desk, checking out some files and fixing the last details for the Academys ceremony, although, his mind was in overdrive. He had so many things going around  his head that it was too difficult to even concentrate on the easiest and slightest of them. And the new events in Avalon... Let's just say they... wasn't making his situation much easier....

" I just... I just hope everything is okay... Tenjin. I won't be able to endure it if something bad happens to her... ", a gentle and worried feminine voice sounded from the other side of the phone.

" Evelyn, you worry away too much. Nothing has been heard of him for years. And in my opinion.... I think he is dead just like everyone else around here do. All of the creatures in the magical world believe he is. He just can't be alive... ", Tenjin answered with an understanding tone in his deep tired voice trying to calm her uneasiness and worry down.

He always did.... He knew how much Evelyn had been through all those seventeen years... The memory of him was too much for her to handle. He was haunting her consciousness every day and night. But he couldn't be alive right...? He wanted to support her...

No. There was no way. They had found his dead body covered in ashes. They had found his burned corpse. It was just...impossible.

He wanted to believe it...

" I don't know Tenjin... He was too powerful and too smart to die like that. I just... I still don't believe it. I can't. It was...too easy. Away too easy for him... ", he heard her dramatically sighed and he understood how much this conversation was paining her. It wasn't easy for her at all. But...he had to admit it too. It was too easy...for a person like him...

His death was a big shock for the Esper's World.... No one could believe that he actually died so easily .... A powerful and evily smart being like him... Many thought that this was an accident, others thought that this was God's doing and punishment and others...

That all of this was one of his sick games...again....

An illusion....

" I know, Evelyn. But the body-"

" What body, Tenjin!? How do you know that this body belonged to him? How do they know? The body was too burned and destroyed. They weren't able to complete the DNA tests and it's magic was gone for worlocks to try their luck. How can they be so sure? It's just....", Evelyn cut him off.

There was a pregnant silence for a couple of seconds. She was right. How can they be so sure... Just the thought of him and the things he did, was making the uneasy feeling inside him, do flips in his stomach. But no. He was dead. Or at least that was what he wanted to believe. What the Esper's population wanted to believe...

" If he was alive, wouldn't he have made an appearance all this years. Wouldn't he have tried to find you? Search for you? Hunt you... I don't know, something. ", his voice broke the tensed silence. He was trying to be reasonable. He had to be. He didn't want to go back to those dark days that made his stomach twist in agony and anxious.

In fear...

" Maybe you are right... Maybe I'm delusional or... I just.... I'm afraid of Anna's safety. That's all... I don't want anything to happen to her. I don't want her to experience the same misfortune that I had. For that reason we hid in the mortal world. For that reason I hid her. ", she paused for a second and then continued,"...and I know that it wasn't fair for her, at all. It's not fair for her not to know who she really is, what is really going on. And... I feel guilty for that. Really. For that reason I allowed her to attend the Academy... At least, in that way, she may forgive me for all those secrets and lies... All those years... ", she finished with a sigh.
