The following week passed in a torturous rate. The classes were away too difficult to handle and Anna wasn't sure if she will make it work. Some of the subjects were starting to make sense to her, such as magical alchemy or the history of the Magical World, but nothing major.

But don't even get her started, when it came to combat and martial arts or fighting techniques. Let's just say that things were far worse.

Well... That actually happens when you don't know how to control your ability and energy levels.

Just Anna's luck.

She had managed to embarrass herself in front of her royal classmates for one more time. Those lessons will be the death of her.

She just needed practice. A lot of it. And the constant shouting from the teachers weren't helping her, either.

It was pathetic...

Today, Marina was waiting for her by her locker after combat practice. "Can I just go home?" Anna asked as she switched her combat dirty uniform inside.

Marina laughed. "Having a bad day?"

"You could say that." she thought about elaborating for a second, but what could she actually tell her? Marina was a brilliant student. A teacher's pride. "I was running late this morning. You know how that just screws your day up from there."

They headed down the extravagant marron halls, chatting about another party on Friday and what they were going to wear. Anna really hadn't put much thought into it, figuring she'd just wear jeans and a shirt.

"Everyone is dressing up," she explained, "since we won't have many chances from now on to do so with the Academic lessons in the way."

"We just had the Founders Ball last week." Anna groaned, knowing she didn't have anything dressy.

Marina looked at her.

"Anna, the Founders Ball was for specific people only. You were just lucky enough to be invited by Remus. I, although I'm a royal, was not invited because my family doesn't belong to that Kingdom's territory. ," she said as she grabbed a plate of what appeared to be Salisbury steak. "And many other students had the same luck as me. So, that's our chance."

"Exactly, you can go. Why do you have to drag me to it, too? " Problem was, Anna had no idea where she wanted to go or what she wanted to do. Every time she was going out in Avalon, something was always going wrong and ruining her mood in the meantime. She was always getting into trouble. Serious trouble.

"You will come. It's final." Marina said, quick to finalize the subject.

Sean was already at their table, and Anna launched into her own tirade the moment she sat down. "So I can't wear jeans to the party? I have to wear a dress?"

"Huh?" Sean blinked sleeplessly and looked at her with a look that said just how much he cared about the subject at hand. At all.

"Marina told me I had to wear a dress on Friday night. I didn't really plan for that."

Marina picked up her fork and pushed the food around on her plate. "You should wear a dress. We get to be pretty princesses for the night and dress up for the party."

"We're not six."

Cassidy, another aristocratic girl from their table, snorted and repeated, "Pretty princesses?"

"Yes, pretty princesses. You can borrow one of my dresses. I have enough." Marina poked at her food before looking at Anna.

Something was not right with Marina that day. She wasn't eating and was now suggesting Anna could wear one of her dresses. "Marina, I don't think I'd fit in one of your dresses."
