Anna's living room in the picture above... 😉 Enjoy!

Passing through the door of her house and closing it behind her, Anna saw that the lights of the living room area were still on and were brightening up the whole, eerily silent, place. Her mother must have been waiting for her for quite some time, she thought. After all, she did said she wanted to have a talk with her daughter no matter what.

After taking off her jacket and placing down on a coffee table the house's keys, she walked at the direction of the living room. Her steady footsteps, on the wooden floor, were echoing in the quiet house.

Silence.

Annabella, instantly, saw her mother sitting down on one of the white couches of their modern living room area while having a glass of alcohol in her right hand. Probably vodka she thought. She wasn't sure of it...

That wasn't a good sign.

Her mother never drunk alcohol, except of some special occasions. For instance, when she was nervous, anxious or had many things going on in her mind. When Evelyn was emotionally wrenched. In this particular situation she probably had all of above combined.

Evelyn didn't like to talk about the Esper's world. After that night, seventeen years ago, she decided on a new beginning. Away for this world. From her past. From him.

Evelyn just didn't want her daughter to get through what she had to all those years ago. She didn't want the horrible repeat of what happened. She didn't want to cause her daughter such a pain. Even the pain of learning the truth. But she knew that she couldn't hide it anymore. She did not have a choice anymore. She wanted to protect what was precious to her.

Her daughter.

Anna was a very important being of the magical world, although she herself had no idea of the fact. She was so important that if the Elders or anyone else found out about her inheritance or existence , it can even cause a bloody war. She was a powerful being. Just like her mother.

And now... Everything will change. He will hunt her and her daughter down if he find out about them .

For that reason Evelyn tried to hide in the human world. Away from that person. Away from her old self. Trying to live an easy and quiet life for once. A normal life.

She hoped... But....

She couldn't bare any harm coming to her daughter. For that reason she had to protect her. At all cost.

She wasn't about to tell anything yet but she had to give some important advices to be sure for her daughter's safety. Some important facts that will help her in order to reassure herself that everything was in control. Nothing bad will happened to her child.

She hoped...

Although deep deep down , she knew that what she tried to hide so passionately, over the last few years, will come to the surface. Anna was too powerful to not draw the people around her or cause questions about her identity. But she had to do what she had to do. She had to... It was for their protection.

A valid reason.

That's what she was doing this whole week. Taking measures for Annabella's safety. Anything for that reason. Anything...

Anna knew that this conversation will leave her with more questions than answers. She didn't want that but she was so damn serious about finding answer that she didn't care if she will be finding them out by her mother or by using someone else. She will stop this silly hide and seek game. She will stop being oblivious to the truth. She will stop being in the dark.
