Anna slowly made her way back to the glorious golden double doors of the Palace, contemplating whether or not, she should just make a run for it and get way from the whole ball situation.
She stood there, motionless for a moment, in order to collect herself and her irritated thoughts of failing to talk with Imogen because of Tenjin being here, when someone cleared their throat behind her.
Anna instantly spun around, seeing the only person she didn't want to face right now, looking extremely annoyed, irritated and bored at the same time. A deadly combination of emotions that Anna was more that han used to see replaying on his handsome face from the mere first day she encountered him.
"Are you planning on standing there all day? Move. " Tristan commanded rudely and impatiently. For some unknown reason, Anna could sense the disapproval in his sharp deep tone, making cold chills run down her spine.
Was he irritated because of her presence?
Because she came to the ball?
To his house?
Did he held such a hatred for her?
Anna felt her heart aching... Like someone was torturously twisting her insides.
But she wasn't about to give him the satisfaction of seeing how much his presence was effecting her. Or how much his cruel and cold tone was paining her.
Well... Anna didn't come for him in the Founders Ball, in the first place but Tristan did look extremely off today. He was special moody tonight for some unknown reason. His handsome features were constantly in a deadly glare.
Still, she couldn't fathom the angry vibes he gave her the moment he saw her setting foot in the ball room with Remus holding her close to him by her waist.
Just what was his problem, anyway?
She wasn't in the mood to start a mock fight with each other. And the thing was.... She wasn't sure if she could outsmart and win against a six foot six, muscular, deadly handsome and authorized Prince. He would had probably thrown her in a concrete and hideous prison to rot.
Having the ultimate power, authority, dominance and all the package of being a Prince.
"Here." Was all she could manage to say as she stepped aside with a tight smile, motioning with her hand for him to pass, in a sarcastic way, through the door.
Tristan, annoyingly and irritatingly, pushed past her to the open doors, without giving any more glances of acknowledging her presence.
Like she was nothing but a disturbing garbage in his graceful way and feet.
In a way, it hurt her...but, what could she say?
Nothing.
Maybe he was slowly achieving his goal.
To hate her....
The reason unknown...
Tristan left the glorious doors open, and so, after taking a deep breath, Annabella walked in covering her dark, almost black mesmerizing eyes with her delicate hand, blinded by the extravagant lights of the place once again.
She just couldn't get used to such gloriousness.
Now, the magnificent Ballroom was buzzed with even more people than before. Royals, aristocrats, even some students of the Academy, presumably, were all over the place laughing and dancing like there was no tomorrow. They all seemed to enjoy themselves.
Only she and Tristan seemed to be in a fools mood...
Anna slowly made her way to her table, where Remus was continuously chatting and laughing with Kinsley. He was probably coming up with some of his 'unique' jokes.
